I would think its like a normal business, if people are going to invest in a startup they want to see a business plan, business mode, projections, competition, proof of concept, etc... I think you will generally find 3 types of people, investors that dont want anything from the adult industry to be part of their portfolio, investors that dont care what industry it is as long as it makes money, people that are excited by the thought of owning a part of the adult industry.

Just my :2 cents:

NO, most banks will not touch you, most brokers will not touch you, most private investors will not touch you.... So, you are fucked...

..but after you have invested 20 K of your own money, kept track and made 60 K in a year they will all line up..

..or do it just like we did :thumbsup:1orglaugh

if anyone would invest it would most likely be private investors. Now no one would invest in something that is not seeing results, never mind hasn't even started up yet, thats just madness. BUT if you have a model, an exact audience, means of how exactly you're going to reach them and the investor thinks its a winning plan maybe you might get something from them. don't expect much though.

I think you are right, most people would be too scared to approach it.

We do good with live content, video chat stuff, live models. With live, content can not be stolen.

When you will set up with your new website
if you need traffic don't forget to give us a try @ Xtraffics.

Again LIVE is always good but starting from scratch? I would start with an affiliate program first and generate some traffic, earn some $$$ and then expand. You won't need funding.

I think that this industry is a bit frowned upon due to the risks it implies in business, so unless you find a private investor and unless you have a solid game plan to sell him, chances are slim.

However, the adult industry sells. A LOT (just think of Tinder and their success, and Tinder is softcore). So I think you either need a SOLID idea, or initial funding brought by yourself.

I know someone with a VR adult project who is able to turn away investors. It all depends on what you are doing. For a website, it's all about traffic and unique content that can outrun the pirates.

One big problem you will face is to get investors in this area.

So true. I'm in the midst of taking the plunge on starting a cool new brand. I've had mainstream success with several startups & I think a unique marketing strategy, fresh custom content & a rabid fanbase - I thnk I can woo some investment capital.

Of late I'm thinking of selling merch to gain a bit more leverage when the big $$ does come around.
