Any of you have any idea of making index page categories page with thumbs?
As simply as it possible please, i'm to drunk to understood complications right now :pimp

you need to use some plugins i guess.,
to set images for categories.,

then create a page , and pull categories and show there .
then settings, set that page as main page.

i did this with my tgp theme category index, you would bascially use a category images plugin, or do the code yourself, so you can assign an image for each category, then on your index template you would do the code to loop through all the categories, and have it link to the category page for each category image

Fris it sounds easy for you but not for me, show me example of such code so i could look at it and work with it, please. if it's not a problem ofc.
i need some "anchor" to work with, some piece of code i could analyse and use.
i've look for google's help but none what i found was easy or understandable for me.
damn i can't believe someone at wordpress didn't think about it yet, simple "newest post" or "static page" is obsolete imo...

do you have a theme you are currently using? if you can send that i can implement it

Rob, mainly i need categories on index page. i think it could be done by making page and adding categories code to it but how exactly to make it - i don't know. Thumbs are not that important atm. But thanks a lot for trying to help.

i'll google for it anyway later today after work but if someone have ready simple code in mind that i could copy/paste i would appreciate and i'll give you link on my last 3 small japanese tgps ;) (still having some traffic and making sales from time to time).
