Clickadu cloaking/sneaky redirects

Took a huge google penalty today due to cloaking/sneaky redirects.

Trying to diagnose if Clickadu pops could have anything to do with it. I started using them about 2 months ago.

Anyone else had this issue?

Sorry to hear that, I think I tried dealing with them last year, and for some reason I walked away.

i dont use them.

There's nothing I love more than going to a site and getting nailed with a pop up or redirected to a fake virus warning that locks shit up. Use pop ups at your own risk

BarryB 06-15-2017 10:18 AM

Could be, I had the same thing with Propellerads. Now working with AdMaven.

flashfire 06-15-2017 11:00 AM

do some research before putting any old thing on your site...it boggles the mind that people will piss off their surfers and kill their sites for a few extra dollars

If a popunder locks the users browser so they can't get back to your page, its not good for your site

I know, thanks tips

I gave up on them too. Was having massive traffic descrpecies over a few different campaigns and they were not willing to work with me on it.

Sorry to hear that. Have you ever tried to solve this with your personal manager?

Recently we have received several disturbing Google ban cases and we found out only two reasons for them:

1. Publisher\Owner ignored all the manager's requests to change advertising code (we're changing them since Google is putting penalties on those).

2. Publisher\Owner has created his own redirects for some purpose.

Please contact support or your personal manager to receive more detailed info regarding your issue :)

Yeah, blame the publisher.. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

hdbuilder 06-16-2017 07:54 AM

To get that kind of penalty someone from Boogle has to manually check your site so it cannot be something that comes and go, it has to do with the ad code if you are not doing any other kind of redirects...

j3rkules 06-16-2017 08:24 AM

Nothing new really... the same happens with plugrush et cetera.

This is not an accusation, not at all :) but the possible reasons we have discovered.
I suppose we can say more when he'll contact us:winkwink:

JuicyBunny 06-19-2017 01:27 AM

We were working with juicyads until we clicked an ad one day on mobile... 4 re-directs.
Trying to figure out why site was penalized.

Now removed and getting back to normal. :2 cents:

Where you able to track what network gives you the penalty ? Thinking to send traffic to clickadu but not sure now.

Thanks

I can advice in order to avoid this scenario no matter which network you use is to use your own popunder code.
