"Lawmakers voted 419-3 to approve legislation is seeking to punish Russia over a host of issues, including its alleged meddling in the 2016 presidential election, its support for the Syrian government and alleged support for the rebels in Ukraine, as well as Crimea?s accession to Russia. The sanctions target a wide array of entities and individuals ? including Russia?s energy sector, banks and weapons manufacturers, as well as those whom the US has accused of interfering in the US presidential election through hacking and otherwise. To reverse each of the sanctions, the administration would have to provide evidence and certify that the conditions that prompted them have been removed. Despite expressing doubts about Russia?s alleged interference in his election, President Trump would sign the legislation, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Sunday. However, the following day Huckabee Sanders said the president was going to ?study that legislation and see what the final product looks like.? |

Bladewire you do know about the Senate, don't you buddy? The House sends the bill to the Senate, then the president. This might help:

It's that simple. Most people in this country don't see it as a hypocrisy because we are raised to believe we are better than Russia and they are our enemy. If you interfere in our election you are bad. If we interfere in yours, we are protecting ourselves and democracy. Another reality is that the U.S., at least in my lifetime, has never been afraid to cut off its nose to spite its face. |

You guys are really clueless Want to make it interesting? $10,000 that trump vetos the Russian sanctions |
I would be willing to bet my soul Trump will veto the Russian sanctions bill and say it's because we have no proof Russia did it
Then Robbie will jump on and say 'hey we work for trump he doesn't work for us" Or some other stupid fuck statement like that |

You must be a foreigner. This bill originated in the Senate and passed 98-2 and procedurally had to be originated in the house because of a technicality involving legislation having to do with revenue. So now the House passed it 419-3, hence my thread title "Congress Overwhelmingly Votes YES to New Russian Sanctions & Limiting Trump's Power" An American would know the history of this bill, educate yourself, going back to the Senate will not be an issue and it will on Trumps desk within the week, you didn't know that either |

They did what? |

Russia should face sanctions, but not for what they are alleged to have done in the US elections. If that were the criteria the US would be facing sanctions from Europe. |
This really good sanction. )) Now need wait result, I hope Trump will approve it))

The hacks, and Russians meeting with Trump Jr. with stolen data on Clinton is all the proof we need, on top of all the other solid proof & people fired and being investigated for lying about Russia. |

You think everything would come good if only Clinton was elected to a corrupt democratic government. It would make little difference. |

What was revealed in these famous hacks that made Americans vote differently? Something they should know, shouldn't know or a load of bollox? You can't see this is the elite trying to remove a man who wasn't meant to win. OK, so it's Trump and he is a bad President but he was elected. Remember how Obama came to office and was thwarted all the way by the two houses. This is what Americans politics has reduced itself to, the 1% buying politicians and power. |

"I'm interested to see if they will overrule Trump." You're so stupid. 517 people in congress voted to limit Trumps power, 5 voted against it. Only an idiot would think they won't get the 2/3 vote to overule a veto by Trump. Keep dreaming snowflake. |

Don't you enjoy it when someone goes on and on about someone else's perceived ability, and then makes a foolish mistake like that in front of everyone? Classic! Why don't you peruse this article by a publication that may meet your standards, CNN. Read this paragraph especially, please. I've helpfully quoted and bolded it for you so you don't have to read the whole article: "The vote was 419-3. The legislation moves to the Senate, but it's unclear when the Senate will vote on the measure, which includes new sanctions against Russia, Iran and North Korea. Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman Bob Corker indicated Monday he may want to make some tweaks to the bill, which was negotiated between the House and Senate after the initial version he drafted sailed through on a 98-2 vote." House overwhelmingly passes Russia sanctions bill Haha at this rate, I should get paid for tutoring you. Let's see if in your next post, you can achieve correct grammar and spelling. That will make me feel like we're getting somewhere with all this work I'm having to do. |

Are you referring to the Podesta emails released by Wikileaks? In his own emails Podesta says he lost his smartphone in a taxi. That was after he fell for a "change your password" phishing scam. What a dumbass! Don Jr met with a Russian lawyer who is a DNC operative- No dirt on Hillary handed over. Again no proof of anything. Are you referring to Michael Flynn, who resigned after being the target of a witch hunt? He will earn 10 times as much money in the private sector, so he said screw it and quit. Again no proof of anything. You Hillbots are obsessed with the fake Russia HOAX. Meanwhile, the Hillary campaign was colluding with the governments of Ukraine and Mexico to get dirt on Trump. Where's the outrage? HYPOCRITES. :2 cents: :pimp |

Trump is already saying he might veto it because "its not tough enough against the Russians"
OMFG, can you believe this shit? I'm sure though the Trumpers on here will defend him. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh :1orglaugh "he may veto the sanctions and negotiate an even tougher deal against the Russians." If Trump does decide to veto the bill, Congress has shown it could easily override him. Congress sends Russia sanctions to Trump's desk, daring a veto - POLITICO |

He is likely saying this hoping if he were to veto it with that reason his party would support him. I don't think they will, at least not without him sitting them down and giving them a solid outline of what he wants added and the odds are there are no such additions. |
