Is everyone getting this? trafficholder suddenly gave 14 days to submit address and ID proof or else it will terminate accounts without refunds? How come they suddenly have to comply with KYC rules.

I got it even on buyer's account which didnt sell traffic at all. But I have to send foto with passport and my face :-) Are they serious?

It's not really cool to throw around threats like that. I live nomadically so it's a hardship for me to verify an address. Telling me if I can't do it in 2 weeks I could lose all my money (over 3k in trafficholder right now) is scary and not cool.

I get why they have to do it but I think they could be a lot more chill about it to the webmasters they depend on

Got that too, tho verification link is not working for some reason. And termination threat is strange, what if you are on vacation and you get back to home after 14 days ?

Dont think it have anything with government, it's simply method which helps to combat with fraud. I know for atleast 3 other ad networks which require ID as well.

- on the 1st august they disabled money withdraw
- they asked foto with face and ID for publishers or no money
- enabled instant withdraw
- they asked foto for advertisers too
- increased minimal payment for advertisers TWICE!!!
- now they disabled instant payments again asking for some manual review again...
- support says that payments will be done in 3 business days....

WHAT THE F***NG IS GOING ON ????!!!

with a few hundred affiliates with $40 or $50´s owing who won´t bother and their accounts will be closed...

2nd business day and no money... the last day will be tomorrow and traffic will go out there with speed of f**ng rocket... first time I see suicide of traffic broker killing themselves in two weeks...facepalm

They are really insane... The best way would be to allow ppl to withdraw money and then choose either to send docs or not! And they skipped this position... Not a good reputation anymore, removed all traffic from them

what is a reason?

According to that master-x thread, they did it to be compliant with some EU anti-criminal law. But the way they did it, was shooting themself into leg, as normally when other companies do it, they dont threat with termination, they just suspend account till docs are submitted. Plus according to some people they dont pay even after ID was verified. Considering current available traffic is dropping by fast rate even if they dont close there wont be any traffic let to buy.

They did pay me at least. 3 times. Since the account verification.

But yes that thread in Russian basically has Helen from trafficholder admitting that they cannot compete right now with other ad networks that do not require verifications.

So, apart from fpctraffic what other skimmed traffic options are there now?

Yes but that doesn't mean how they will close, it simply mean how they will have very little traffic available to sell. Currently only trafficshop and royalads.net deals with skimmed traffic beside fpctraffic. Tho, i think most of ad networks will accept skimmed as popunder since it's not that different from popunder anyway.

I know you're probably joking, but I've seen several places that require you to prove identify by taking a photo of yourself holding your passport.

You just know that there's going to be at least one company that keeps all this confidential data in an open folder, or an email archive or something.

true - and not only this. to run credit card payments (B2B) you havv to sign that you have KYC prove of all customers you are dealing with (and they are checking that from time to time)
paymnet providers also are asking for that because KYC is a part of the anti-moneyloundring rules.
i think it will not be more than one year from now til every e-company have to do that.

I buy and sell traffic heavily on TH and I'm stilling paying the exact same $/1000 hits as before all this crap went down yet on the selling side I'm being paid about half!! I've questioned support a couple times and they say they're doing what they can to bring selling $$ back to normal. Right now they're completely killing themselves. They need to pay the sellers better than this for biz models to be sustainable. I never thought these verification's would have THIS much impact! I thought most account holders, especially larger ones would simply do the verification's.
