Does Gatorade make you fat?

I'm trying to quit soda (I drink about a liter a day) and looking for something else to drink instead, I dont like Icea tea but I love grape gatorade.

So if I drink a lot of it does it make you fat?

jollyperv 04-24-2003 03:58 PM

Grape gatorade makes your shit green.

Rictor 04-24-2003 04:01 PM

Gatorade will make you fat. Even fruit juice will make you fat.

Drink bottled water or Crysal Light or something if you want no calories. Or diet cola.

gatorade has a lot of calories. go with water. water is bad at first but after a while you get used to it.

I hate the taste of water

Theo 04-24-2003 04:22 PM

try a bottle of cum, no calories

EscortBiz 04-24-2003 04:22 PM

yeah its not burger king that makes people fat its the straws

Fletch XXX 04-24-2003 04:24 PM

gatorade has lots of carbs anmd sugars, where you think the energy comes from, yeah it will make you fat.

i have them every now and then, i like those BLUE freeze ones.

good stuff.

get a water cooler so you can always just have a glass of cold water, it will help you shed a few for sure.

i love gatorade. i drink the clear ones, the only thing that stops me from drinking it all day long is that its so damn expensive, and i could probably drink about 10 20oz bottles of gatorade a day.

leg3 04-24-2003 04:33 PM

it is alot lower in sugar/carbs than soda...
the 32oz bottle is like 200cals total...

a code that size would be like 700cals

but its still too much

try this....

water....with lime squeezed in it.... and add a couple packs of Splenda..

splenda is a sweetener that is low-sugar...

its like sweet and low,but alot better, mostly all natural

well they sell these powder cannisters (4th one down)
http://www.gatorade.com/gator_store/...e/products.cfm

which would make it really cheap to buy and just mix up

I but I dont want to drink it if it makes you fat. Rictor's crystal light idea is probably what I should do then

I can't stand drinking Gatorade with a normal lunch/dinner.

After shooting some hoops, it's ok. But eating it with normal food, disgusting.

Back when I was at the height of my binge drinking I got addicted to orange Gatorade for when I was hungover.

Definately helps with the dehydration. Try it, fellow drunks. You'll like it.

I was already fat from the booze and my chronic laziness, so I didn't care about the calories in the Gatorade.

It's not the refined sugars forcing an insulin surge that bothers me. It's the engine degreaser they add to it. Green coal tar dye is probably the healthiest ingredient. Bottling companies would have us all drinking liquid extracts from the La Brea tar pits if they could make a dime off it.

Then again that Mexican florescent fruit fluid sold in LA is likely the product of unhinged chemical creativity.

drink water!

Thorin 04-24-2003 05:04 PM

Water > All

... well except some booze, but when you've just run a couple miles a shot of vodka just doesn't sit right =)
