The difference of course is that previous waves of immigrants didn't infest decent neighborhoods, turning them into hell holes.

Previous immigrants also were not showered with welfare.

So long as you're ready to pay the extra costs of welfare, police, housing, social services that are required. It sounds a great idea.

And of course, you will pay these new migrants the same wages as the old native workforce.

Immigrants should be self supporting as long as they do not have refugee status.

The US government is not a socialist welfare state like many EU countries are.

Immigrants should receive the highest wages the market will pay. Immigrants pay federal, state and local taxes.
Immigrants with some exceptions (h1b visas) compete with poorly educated *white people* workers.

I could care less if the clerk at the 7/11 or gas station is someone of color or a piece of white trash -- that is who does that work.
