Recommendations on Netflix... Amazon .. etc

Finally cut the cord on cable -- feels good! Probably a few years overdue.

Please list recommendations for Movies, Series on Netflix, Amazon or any Roku channel.

Much appreciated.

Arrows?

Sorry, couldn't resist. :D

The Full House reunion, isn't that on Netflix? And The Gilmore Girls one, too?
I don't watch anything but porn. LOL

lezinterracial 10-17-2017 02:33 PM

I like the new series "Mind Hunter" on Netflix. Directed by David Fincher. Slow moving, but some good characters.

bronco67 10-17-2017 02:39 PM

I also just cut the cord and use Sling TV.

Master of None on Netflix is good. There's actually a ton of good stuff on Netflix but can't think of any at the moment. Will come back and list.

C H R I S 10-17-2017 04:22 PM

I heard Handmaids Tail is awesome... surprised there aren't more here

kane 10-17-2017 04:38 PM

If you like superhero stuff Netflix has Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and some others that are good. Also, Bloodlines on Netflix is amazing.

Rochard 10-17-2017 04:48 PM

I've been watching Parks & Recreation.

My favorite on Netflix is Californication.

bronco67 10-17-2017 07:29 PM

The Netflix standup specials are great. It seems like every night there's a new one...they must be handing them out like Starburst to any comedian who will do one. Just watched Patton Oswalt's new one tonight and it was great. Bill Burr has a good one. Mike Birbiglia. Any Louis CK one is good. Sarah Silverman. Neal Brennan.

Maria Bamford's Old Baby...and this is only if you're into her shtick...will make you laugh until you have internal bleeding. But I was stoned when I watched it, so maybe that was it. Whatever it was my face hurt from laughing at that silly bitch. She's so weird it can't be an act.

Sneaky Pete on Amazon is a must watch, just got a second season. It's simply an extremely well written and acted show that delivers.

Sneaky Pete (TV Series 2015? ) - IMDb

Yeah it made it to season 3 and SyFy dropped it for some reason?

Otherlife is a great Flic, watched it last night! None of that Hollywood rinse repeat bullshit:thumbsup

mint 10-19-2017 08:49 AM

Netflix is my pick because they have original and new shows
they also invested a lot on contents this year, and yeah stock price is hot!

C H R I S 10-19-2017 09:38 AM

Keep em coming

Deej 10-19-2017 04:28 PM

Bosch on Amazon for sure.

kane 10-19-2017 04:39 PM

If you are just in the mood for some movies Amazon has Moonlight which just won the Best Picture Oscar and Manchester By the Sea which is sad, but very good. They also have Sicario which is great and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot which I really enjoyed.

Another TV series that is on Prime is The Americans. It airs on FX and will have one more season to wrap it up, but they have the first 5 seasons on Prime and it is fantastic.

Shoplifter 10-20-2017 10:43 AM

A few laughs from Son of Zorn.

My wifes cousin created Agents of Shield, I could never get into it though.

Still none ...

F IS FOR FAMILY!!!!!

Fuck, shit, c*nt, bastard and more are the norm in this cartoon. I finished season one tonight on Netflix and plan to watch again.

I read about it after someone online posted a complaint that it constantly desecrated the Christian religion. A reference here and there but it's funny as hell.

They hit on stereotypes in a comical way, from black folks' pronunciations, Jewish holocaust survivors, and many more. It might offend some, but get over it.

Tonight's classic line had me laughing so hard, and I just remembered the end of it. " God is busy on sundays feeding pieces of his son to people.". (Paraphrased, second line)

VRPdommy 10-21-2017 07:59 AM

Never cut the cord because I never had the cord.
But for well rounded entertainment you probably will want NetFlix.
Growing and yet still undefined mix of original shows from Amazon as well.

I wonder how long it will take before the same monopolistic plays come to this industry.

I am surprised nobody has created a PornFlix YET ! A few of you should get together !

Not on Netflix, but I watched this awesome movie on Vudu called Brawl in Cell Block 99 starring Vince Vaughn. One of the most brutal prison flicks I've seen in a long time. It's also a good little indie flick overall, but damn the fight scenes will make you cringe with every punch and snapped bone. This movie should win an award for casting Don Johnson as the warden and an honorable mention for the most inhospitable prison cell in movie history.
