The funny part is that right before ABC retracted the story...CNN was practically CELEBRATING over it.
Old Carl Bernstein was on the air with Anderson Cooper saying that this PROVED Trumps claims of "fake news" were wrong and that he and all the other reporters were vindicated.
And then it turned out to be...Fake News!

When someone is incompetent, the network takes action against them - which is what we have here.

Fake news is when someone who really isn't a reporter makes up a story with no facts, does no investigating on it at all, and then keeps pushing this story until someone shoots up a pizza joint looking for criminals aren't there.

Do you see the difference? One rushed a story that wasn't correct, another completely and utterly made stuff up. One got punished because he rushed a story, but in the other case no one got punished AFTER someone shoots the place up.

One was a mistake, the other was intentional.

Brian Ross reported that Flynn was "prepared to testify that Donald Trump as a candidate had instructed him to reach out to the Russians" when the truth was this was while Trump was President elect. That's a mistake - a shift in a time line. Not to mention for all we know this might in fact be true.
