The current issues have come about because one party has managed to secure themselves in power by gaming the system to the point they had no risk of being voted out of office. Due to them bei g at no risk, they have no reason to cater to anyone but their base and their base becomes more and more radicalized each year..

Gerrymandering is being over turned state by state and the next few elections will right the country back where it was because all these far right nutters will get voted out and the new guys will have to go back to being moderates.

One thing that's become obvious about Obama that I never realized before is how he protected America and lead it through the recession after Bush, its almost as if most Americans are totally oblivious to it. Also was the way he was preparing the USA and taking action on the emergence of China which I'm quiet vocal about ;)

Many of Trumps policy ideals I very much agree with, but his delivery has a lot to be desired. What I find alarming is the removal of protections that will stop you trading with China in the future, and implementing an fiscal policy that's nothing less than catastrophic all based around short term gains on borrowed money.

The general public has short term memory. Some people believe the Obama administration was bad because they associate his two terms with the recession and the bad times, without accepting it was Obama who led us out of that recession. Unemployment is 4% right now because when Obama left office unemployment was 4%.

Keep in mind Trump is rolling back all of the protections the Obama administration put into place to protect us to ensure it doesn't happen again.

We all agree that Obama's eight years as president was the closest to Utopia the United States has ever seen. That Utopia would have continued with President Hillary Clinton. However, there's a dossier proving that Trump colluded with Russians to steal the election and that makes me very sad. CNN has covered this fact extensively.
