The serial format in the way of post-credit scenes works perfectly on me. When the movie ends, I stay seated through the credits just to see the post-credit scenes as they are perfect teasers of things to come. Loving Marvel movies doesn't mean I don't love other movies. Kubrick was the man. Give me a new Scorcesee or Coppola or Nolan or Lynch movie and I'll be there on opening day. That being said I'm also really looking forward to Steven Spielberg's "Ready Player 1", and Quentin Tarantio's Star Trek (OMG!). |

I love what Marvel is doing. They have given new life to the movies. I've seen everything.
I also love having Star Wars back too - way over due. I can't wait for the new Han Solo movie this summer. |

I was thinking about that too. As of today March 6th there are 18 movies in the MCU. The average earnings are $320m per picture, with Avengers at $600m. Total earnings are over $5 Billion Dolloars so far (source Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies at the Box Office - Box Office Mojo). And that's not even counting Infinity War and 3 other MCU movies coming out this year. Fucking wow! When the movie industry was dying thanks to home viewings and piracy, the movie industry fought back and upped their game, quality and format. Good for them. |
I read Disney is preparing for the new Han Solo movie to flop so they pushed up Avengers.

But then again, a "Young Han Solo" movie would be a really hard idea to sell to any fans of the original. I am kind of surprised that Disney even tried to make it. Then again, 2009's Star Trek did a flat-out amazing job with Kirk, Spock and the rest of the gang, so who knows? |
