nico-t 03-11-2018 11:23 AM

saw it, i liked it. Quite a depressing storyline, and they captured the atmoshpere of a cold and snowy place in the middle of nowhere very well. It's a solid movie :thumbsup

SilentKnight 03-11-2018 11:42 AM

Well done movie. Bleak and harsh...but based on a true story. Renner and Olsen are great in it.

kane 03-11-2018 11:43 AM

I liked it a lot.

I did in fact watch that... mind blowing wasn't it? I was surprised at the depth in the last act :2 cents:

I really liked this for the photography

brassmonkey 03-11-2018 04:20 PM

did anyone watch it?

possible spoiler alert!

it made native americans out to be stupid and violent. they had a female agent and a park ranger at the head of a murder investigation :helpme:helpme:helpme

That wasn't my takeaway on it at all.

The victim's father was neither stupid or violent...nor was the reserve cop (Graham Greene from Dances with Wolves).

I was disappointed Renner didn't get to fire off a single arrow.

They should do a spinoff where Renner and Olsen show up pretending to be government agents solving crimes then when things go badly they transform into Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch and kick some ass.

Bladewire 03-11-2018 07:56 PM

Ok you got me, just switched it on will report back after it's done :thumbsup

I agree. I just finished watching it. I think they dragged it out a lot longer than it needed to be but wow what an awesome story line and it's based on a true story God Bless That Girl a true warrior.

I was impressed with Elizabeth Olsens performance, she is a force of her own to be reckoned with just like her sisters the Olsen twins.

Biggie Smalls Web Writing 03-11-2018 11:13 PM

Great movie :thumbsup

Check out a movie called Ingrid Goes West. Olsen plays a girl who lives in Venice, California and makes her living as an Instagram model. Aubrey Plaza plays a girl who becomes obsessed with her and starts stalking her. Both women give great performances, but Olsen, in particular, has the more subtle, harder role to play and she is fantastic at it.

The Weinstein Company? I'm not watching that shit

Female cop was an FBI agent. Problems?

Itchy 03-12-2018 10:09 AM

I thought it was a good movie :)

Quine 03-12-2018 12:52 PM

Very good movie. You should check other two movies from the same writer Hell or High Water and Sicario if you haven't.

Did the shootout happen?

Was super unrealistic part for me in comparison to all the rest of the movie.

Great movies, I always used to say screen writer makes the movie, not a director.
I'd take great screenplay and average director VS average screenplay and great director any time.

Sure, it jumped the shark at the shootout...but "based on" doesn't mean it's a documentary of pure factual events. Hey, we gotta have at least a bit of mindless drama to satisfy our bloodlust.
