1. amazon receives THE SAME discount as any other other big customer from USPS
2. amazon is as far as i know the ONLY american company what charges sales taxes
in every state - even when they do not have a physical presence in this state and they
are not forced to do it. in 2017 that effected 106 Billion Dollars of sales where the states
made a tax income.
3. amazon also has a special agreement with the Postal Service to deliver packages on
sundays that helps the USPS to spread its costs over a seven-day week.
4. through amazon small business were able to make an additionally revenue of 32 billion
in the last year and have been able to make a higher profit (what will be taxed)
BECAUSE they can calculate with the cheaper amazon infrastructure and the benefits
of a bulk sender.

if amazon will stop sending with USPS it will hit them hard. the costs will not double they will triple - than say thanks to trump when you have to pay 300% more because bezos will use this argument to fuck him and open his own delivery service (i would if I would be bezos).

USPS an "establishment of the executive branch of the Government of the United States", (39 U.S.C. § 201) as it is controlled by Presidential appointees and the Postmaster General.

So if Chump doesn't like it he can change it. And watch USPS lose billions when Amazon opens up "Amazon Mail" next year!!!

Since 1971 the USPS has been an "Independent" establishment of the executive branch. Since it is independent it does NOT take it's orders directly from the executive branch, nor does the executive branch control it.

The Postmaster General is NOT a Presedintial appointee but instead is appointed by the Governors of the Postal Service.

The Board of Governors are Presidential appointees but there are strict rules, including professional requirements, on who may be appointed. They are currently appointed for a term of 7 years.

Right now, the only members of the Board of Governors are the Postmaster General and the Deputy Postmaster General. So Trump can appoint the 9 Governor seats that have been vacant since like 2010 because of Congress failing to approve any appointments. But as I stated, there are actually professional requirements and he cannot just pick his friends.

USPS set the prices, not Amazon, so they can change them if they don't like the deal. If they do Amazon will probably move more mail to UPS and FedEx and as i said they will open their own service and all mailing companies will lose out thanks to CHUMP opening his great pie hole.

Trump is dead wrong about the USPS. There has been some Wall Street analysis that of course shows the Post Office is losing money. But it's not because of Amazon.
The Amazon deal is profitable for the Post Office.

And they aren't the only ones with mass shipping deals. Most every online mainstream business of any size has those deals with not only USPS but also FedEx and UPS.

I don't pay shipping when I buy gear from big online music stores for instance...and they ship UPS and FedEx.
