Does Twitter traffic convert

I promote on Twitter and am part of a few cam girl RT groups.

So here's my question - I'm not seeing much engagement from my Tweets - to the point that I'm beginning to ask myself if promoting on Twitter is even worth it.

But here's the thing - I think that having my sites mentioned in tweets is having a positive effect on my search engine rankings, and by extension - my organic traffic - which converts the best.

So what's you opinion of Twitter - worth it or not?

It is DEFINITELY worth it if you invest the time and engage on there.

I have many friends on there that are helping me get large traffic to my sites and cams.

People that use bots or don't engage complain why they don't earn anything on there.

If you see ShawnaLeneeShow's Facebook post earlier tonight you will see she makes 80% of her income from affiliates on twitter.

That is all you need to know. But if you are just a webmaster and don't post your own content you will struggle a lot more x

Thank you - that information is indeed useful - bots are being detected and accounts suspended by Twitter lately - will go manual and see what results I get.

Only tweeting stuff won't work.
Engage. Reply to other people's tweets. Retweet. Write like a human, not like a bot. If you tweet links, don't use always links to your money/affiliate-sites.
Try to share informations. Don't try to sell something.

^^ This is absolutely 100% on point. I see much better return on time investment when actually engaging with others on Twitter versus posting link after link. :thumbsup:thumbsup

It does convert very well! We have a lot of clients banking with Twitter + AdExtrem smartlinks :thumbsup

I suspect most of the "hits" from my Twitter posts to CB are from bots.

I am a fan of twitter, to the extent that I get most of my shoots booked via it, in terms of talking to models direct and them moving to whatsapp to confirm. This means I cut out agencies and that does reduce my over heads, so I love twitter for that.

Currently I have no affiliate program, I had down with Epoch, but since that was shut down, I have not bothered, membership seem to remain the same, in terms of numbers.

Now traffic, I find that Twitter gives me no traffic at all. I have a small niche site, and I have 21.4K follower on twitter. I have less than 0.5% of that in terms on paying members.

However I am sure if I didn't use twitter, the number would be much less.

For a while also I was receive order for custom content via twitter, but now due to fan network sites like FanOnly, that has reduced my income. It seem that guys would spend out money on poor self shot stuff, from mobile phones, webcams and iPads, than nicely light video shot in 4K or 1080p HD, and more in one angle was zoom in on the bits they like... go figure that out

So I feel twitter is a necessity in some cases, but you will receive a low percentage of traffic from it. I have also know models to complain about follow, where they done charity work, they could have 50K+ followers and only raise a few pounds, one model only raised £28 for a charity from twitter, after that she refused to post any more images on twitter.

the majority of twitter followers will be industry contacts, friends that are showing support, double accounts, or old account people can not access, models that want to work, then you have some fans, the rest are people cursing for free images. it sad really, if I had $1 for every follower of mine on twitter, I would be very much better of a month, and most people on the internet can afford $1 a month.

Twitter definitely converts. It is important to act like a person and not just a robot account tweeting porn. Like peoples replies, like and follow related accounts etc. Be an active USER not only an active promoter.

I agree here. Tumblr has been better with us than twitter, but same rules apply. We have a following in our niche because we engage with the community.

We have many affiliates who run twitter pages and driving mobile traffic. Conversion rate is pretty good.

OneMillionGirls 06-01-2018 03:38 PM

rt groups is sometimes a waste of time or you know the very big major XXX Twitter accounts.

KettySexy 06-09-2018 09:39 PM

Twitter is definitively converting. But I think it's easier if you have your own content and don't just do retweets.

I don't even tweet everyday, but I always engage and discuss. I only have 99 tweets and 7 000 followers, and it's growing everyday.

I'm still amazed by my conversion rate. 16% for videos and 4% for photos, I've never seen that anywhere else. And people will probably think I'm lying, which I understand, because I sometimes don't believe it myself, haha, but it's true.

Be serious about it, and don't expect lazy job and automation, and you'll get it.

I've had some success with driving traffic via Twitter to my white label. I've built it up where I make $50 to $150 a month. Not going to retire and buy a Greek island, but it's something.

CjTheFish 06-21-2018 12:36 PM

I would like to get in contact with you regarding joining one of the cam girl RT groups. Please get in contact with me if you are still active here.

Twitter is a great asset to help bring notice, clicks, and conversions to whatever you're promoting. There's always a certain % of ppl in which your tweet is exactly what they're searching for.

Twitter isn't exactly friendly to affiliates. But there's always workarounds to obstacles. Its just a question of figuring them out.

AdExtrem 06-22-2018 02:36 AM

We do have pretty much of twitter traffic, and it is converting well specially with Dating.

acwm.biz 06-26-2018 11:13 AM

100% Agree - RT groups are a waste of time - stopped about 75% of my Twitter promos and sales have remained constant. I know every case is different, but for me Twitter traffic has not converted at a level that makes it a worthwhile time investment.

Depends on what you are promoting!
It's shit for tube sites but many people do well in various forms od social promotion.

NickBaer 07-03-2018 10:30 AM

I think the Twittersphere is pretty saturated. People who were ever intrigued by Twitter, have already been there, done it, pissed on it!

So we're pretty much preaching to the Choir. That and, much of Twitter is Bots, with Bots talking to Bots.

I have occasionally found that IF I engage with a Social Media Influencer, and I "@" them, sometimes I'll be banned from their Twitter page! How awful - for them, having one less viewer!

So much for "engagement"!
