South Korea gets North Korea to sign denuclearization agreement
President Moon got Kim Jong Un to sign a denuclearization agreement as well as a peace treaty ending the war between South Korea and North Korea. Well done President Moon of South Korea! You did what Trump was not able to do in the 463 days after being annointed POTUS by 308 elites in the electoral college, overriding the will of the people. |

Concessions.

They gave Trump total credit :2 cents:

President Moon succeeded at what Trump failed to do in 463 days in office.
President Moon is an amazing man wow! Trump was so busy tweeting and Moon was busy actually doing something. |

We should all give as much credit as we want to President Moon. Simple logic dictates that this is not possible without him and his office.
Now, for those with open minds not blinded by hate, let's hear from from the South Korean Foreign Minister. After you listen, try and reconcile your thoughts that President Trump has nothing to do with this. You are welcome to keep hating on Trump because there are so many issues that reasonable people can disagree on. However, you taint every other argument that you make when you are this divorced from reality. |

Pretty sad all these Hillary supporters are in total denial. I guess admitting that Trump is responsible for this would be admitting they were wrong, and we all know how hard that is. Trump will get the nobel peace prize for this :thumbsup |
Giving President Trump ALL of the credit trends toward the same train of thought that allows them to think he gets NONE of the credit.
|
Washington (CNN)Any way you cut it, President Donald Trump is entitled to significant credit for Friday's historic opening between the two Koreas.
oops. :1orglaugh No wonder why bladewire is melting down. |
I can not decide what is more funny...crediting trump or believing that there will be a denuclearization...
Tough tough call LOL |

I do believe it will happen because I believe fundamental changes are taking places. If I didn't believe that, then I would agree with you that this is another big pile of steaming smokescreen. North Korea would be insane to de-nuke if they believed we were going to attack. We shall see. |

You've been wrong about Trump on everything. Maybe it's time to shut the fuck up? lol |
Why aren't Trump supporters happy that President Moon has made such a historical accomplishment? It seems Trump supporters are trying to distract from President Moons massive success for some reason.

Also, Pompeo wants regime change in North Korea, not peace. "But, as TIME’s Charlie Campbell noted after the announcement of Pompeo’s nomination, his hawkish views are not necessarily aligned with advocating for diplomacy with North Korea. He has said a regime change in the country would be positive, and did not rule preemptive military action." Mike Pompeo and Kim Jon Un'''s Meeting Seen in White House Photos | Time |

I assume there is a real source for this statement? Not wording that can be twisted to mean what you want it to mean, but a proven source that backs up your claim that Pompeo was ordered NOT to meet with him and that Pompeo defied those orders and did it anyway. I am open to being proven wrong. If you are referencing this: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.aa2cb5be70cb "Trump says Pompeo was not originally scheduled to see Kim Jong Un on secret North Korea visit" "Outgoing CIA Director Mike Pompeo was not originally slated to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during his secret trip to Pyongyang, President Trump said Thursday. “He wasn't supposed to meet with Kim Jong Un. They arranged that,” Trump said during a phone interview with “Fox & Friends.” Trump said Pompeo and Kim spoke for more than an hour during the Easter weekend and “had a great meeting.” He added that there are “great pictures” of the meeting that he hopes to release soon." That is NOT what you said above. Please save that kind of thing for someone it will work on. |
Now Pompeo is acting like nothing happened in North & South Korea the last two days, he's putting out press releases as if the treaties haven't already been signed :evil-laug Pompeo sees ‘real opportunity’ to denuclearize North Korea "Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un a month ago, says he saw a “real opportunity” to negotiate an end to the regime’s nuclear weapons program. In an interview with Jonathan Karl aired Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Pompeo said of the “goal” of his meeting with Kim “was to try and identify if there was a real opportunity there. I believe there is.”" You just can't make this shit up :evil-laug:evil-laug Pompeo admits he DIDN'T negotiate the end to North Korea denuclearization :1orglaugh. President Moon is the man! :thumbsup |

Yes, this is a huge step forward and Trump deserves plenty of credit if for no other reason than having our own unhinged leader scared their unhinged leader into talking. Still, things are looking good, however, let's be honest. Jim Jong Un said he was going to dismantle that testing facility before he ever set foot in South Korea. He went on to say they have a strong nuclear arsenal now and no longer need to do the tests. At this point, we don't know how true this may be and we will have to wait and see if they dismantle the test facility. Still, unless Trump gets them to get rid of their nukes or at least talks them into letting UN inspectors keep tabs on them, it's not much of a win. I'm not worried about N. Korea testing missiles and nukes. I am nervous about them giving a nuke to someone who puts it on a boat and lights it off in a major US harbor. |

they have fucked the USA over on this issue at least 7 times in the last 30 years so I think its safe to say that they will keep their word this time :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh
ooooooooooh suckers :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |
This is great..... But it's stunning that the United States didn't take part on this.
It's not a slam on Trump - It's more of a statement on the past fifty years of US involvement in Korea. Maybe we should have just stepped aside and stayed out. |
Trump should receive credit.

So far, this is a win for all of us. What percentage of credit you want to give to each party is up to you. But you have to understand that people are going to laugh when you say the U.S. had NOTHING to do with it's ally in the region getting to this event. |

My purpose would be to engage others in a reasonable debate where we can disagree, but we don't dismiss reality. I feel uniquely qualified because I've been on both sides. I didn't vote for either candidate, but I wouldn't have voted for Trump based on what I saw during the campaign. I found the border issue ridiculous at the time. I still think the Muslim country ban is ill-advised. My change of heart began after watching the coverage he was receiving. As you might surmise, I have little patience for serious people pretending things that are not true. Disagreement is expected. A slant in opinion is expected. Lying is not. I was seeing articles and interviews and thinking to myself, "That just can't be true. That is not logical at all" - and so, I started looking. And what I found was not pretty. It took many months to convince myself of the truth of it. I am still open to the possibility I may be wrong and I would love the opportunity to reasonably discuss these items, one by one. One other thing: this forum, of all places, should know a troll when it sees one. The Trump Twitter feed is troll central. Yet they bite, again and again. |

They must have super secret back channels to both Korean governments I guess. Straight to Moon and Un themselves, who told them specifically that Trump had nothing to do with this. And then they send out their foreign minister to lie about Trump deserving some credit because he would torpedo it if they didn't tell that lie. Even though he's had nothing to do with it so far, he would kill it if they don't lavish praise on him. But he has no connection to it. Yes, that makes perfect sense. If I had that kind of connection, I guess I would be able to form the same opinions. Unfortunately for me, I don't have that kind of access. I have to use logic. I have to ask questions. I have to wonder why they would not consult with the U.S., their strategic partner in the region, on such an important thing. No talks at all on this historic summit. Yep. I'm sure the State Dept woke up and said "Wow, look at that. And not even an email wondering what we thought." Completely logical. |

Why did Trump say Kim Jong Un is "honerable"? Diplomacy, the same reason SK's prime minister is mentioning Trump, who hasn't even met with Kim Jong Un, and just begged the Chinese to follow through with sanctions. The credit goes to the Chinese, South Korea and North Korea. But people like you who idolize a do nothing liar... don't get why a man who did nothing for ending the South Korea War doesn't deserve the Nobel Peace Prize |

It was estimated when Trump came in to power that North Korea had 5 nukes, now that estimate is over 60.. all capable of reaching the USA. Nothing has caused North Korea to ramp up their nuclear program more than Donald Trump. All North Korea so far have announced is they will be closing their main nuclear test site, which we know from reports after their 100ktn bomb test the facility nearly collapsed. ( At a guess I'm betting North Korea need help cleaning this up as its now their own Chernobyl... ( just a hunch no proof ) ) --- South Korea desperately needs a peace deal to be signed, any step is a positive step for them. Its just up to Trump to be the first American president to accept North Korea as a nuclear state and sign it. And despite all the bullshit surrounding it.. that's the guts. Will Trump accept North Korea as a nuclear state? And then for the bad news, North Korea gets rid of its nukes, then the South will have to as well AND THAT INCLUDES VISTING WAR SHIPS ;) Bankrupt and disarm North Korea, then China will move in with Russia right behind. Because of North Koreas isolation any change, any peace plan is going to take a few generations to work out. North Korea is reported to have the largest stockpiles of Chemical and Biological weapons. BTW I do credit Trump with helping, its a combination of China, South Korea, USA, Russia and basically every other country on the planet, that brought us to this point. I don't like giving to much respect to Trump directly though, more to the American public. We know North Korea has Biological and Chemical weapons, they have long range missiles that can reach USA mainland and they have a nuclear arsenal, we also know America's missile shields are not 100% fail safe. Trump played chicken with every Americans life, just like he trashes the markets on a twitter rant. So Kudos to Trump for that he owns it. |
After a dubious feeling of the American and Chinese leaders about the historic Korean summit ...
