So sad.. All my domains expired..

I feel sick.

All the domains I use to hold have now expired and are now either parkingpages or redirect sites.
I didn't realise but most expired in Jan/Feb this year with Namecheap.

Bladewire 05-03-2018 04:34 PM

Damn that sucks :(

magneto664 05-03-2018 05:09 PM

and you don't read the e-mails?

Smack dat 05-03-2018 05:13 PM

I didn't get any emails.
Or maybe my main email was tied to my expired domain
Or maybe my email provider closed down and I needed a new provider but never updated the Namecheap details?

InfoGuy 05-03-2018 05:34 PM

Registrars send out multiple renewal notices before and after expiration. You also have an auto-renew option. Was it enabled or did your credit card fail?

There is typically 30-45 days of grace period after expiration without paying a penalty (for ICANN gTLDs). After that, registrars change the status to RedemptionPeriod and the redemption fees are around $100 during those 30 days. If your domains expired late February, you may still have a shot at recovering some by paying the redemption fees. If they're in PendingDelete, you'll have to use a dropcatching service such as NameJet, Snapnames or Dropcatch to get back domains that have any value.

bullshit.
every year you receive notifications by e-mail.
additionally, you must confirm your contact details every year. even if you're using an anonymous whois, you get an email where you need to confirm your contact details. if you do not confirm your domain is suspended.
so one more time : bullshit

2MuchMark 05-03-2018 05:54 PM

Ahem......

Acepimp 05-03-2018 06:03 PM

If you're lucky you can just register it again after like 3 months. Gotta watch for it to open up and then grab it :2 cents:

Bladewire 05-03-2018 06:04 PM

Namecheap is shady as fuck

One of my main contact emails was for a domain that expired. The hosting on the account expired last year.

Sad, but you can only blame yourself.

Manfap 05-04-2018 01:06 AM

I don't think OP is in the biz, there were probably no sites on the domains... or some junk on autopilot with zero traffic.

that's for sure. It is unlikely that he would be so careless about domains that would bring him income.

But it is a pity that this happened :(

wehateporn 05-04-2018 02:57 AM

I sent you a few emails about stuff, but they never made it to you

Adraco 05-04-2018 03:17 AM

Good Job! google domains they have the highest prices for registration and renewal.
You could not have chosen better - a good decision.

and probably you still link your domain to one another and Google knows everything!

I love reading your posts, the daily source of ROFL

I never lost a single domain despite always doing it manual renewal. I maybe missed a day or two to renew it but never lost if fully.
