It's almost like something good happened.
I've been hugged and told how great trump is like 6 times tonight. It is still early.
Is a big holiday so people are drinking but they are so happy that their two countries are closer now.

Always better people happy than scared

President Moons treaties 2 months ago set the stage for peace, he did very good for the South Korean people :thumbsup

dyna mo 06-12-2018 08:14 AM

after trump's temper tantrum at the G7 those koreans folks prolly were scared shitless wondering what he'd do at the singapore summit.

xClips Jim 06-12-2018 08:22 AM

The delusional had headlines prepared for any outcome.

Trump blows up historic peace process by something, something and more something.

Trump gets nothing and gives up everything by something, something and more something.

First president who was able to setup such a peace talk and meeting with North Korea. that's pretty good step in the right direction :thumbsup

First president willing to do a peace talk with no conditions or pre meetings by others before the actually meeting. Others could have but didn't. makes for great reality tv

You have ZERO clue as to what went on before the summit.. What we do know for sure is that Obama was given the same opportunity as Trump and he ignored it.. From anther black man.. Who knows.. If Obama had listened then Otto may have lived...

Obama’s comments in 2008 and 2009 about talking to strongmen “without preconditions,” and his efforts to work with both North Korea and Cuba’s communist governments, were greeted by conservatives with scorn. So it seemed odd to some on the right that Trump doing the same was being feted as a victory for American foreign policy.

viral video depicted Fox News's hosts and guests contradictorily blasting former President Barack Obama for saying he would meet with dictators and enemies of the United States, but effusively praising current President Donald Trump for agreeing to sit down face-to-face with North Korean despot Kim Jong Un.

The video, released Thursday night by the news outlet Now This, showed cuts of some of the network's best-known hosts, like Sean Hannity, Steve Doocy and Geraldo Rivera, pouring scorn on Obama for suggesting he could meet with leaders from Iran and North Korea without preconditions. Many of those same personalities and commentators are then shown characterizing Trump’s expected talks with Kim as a “win” for the Republican. Some even said Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts.

The McCain campaign held a conference call this afternoon criticizing Barack Obama for his comment a year ago that he would be willing to meet with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea without preconditions.
If Obama is President on January 21st, the leaders of those countries will invite Obama to visit, Michigan Republican Congressman Pete Hoekstra predicted on the call. "That would be an untenable position for the President of the United States to be put in," Hoekstra said.

Awesome! Its been aligning of the stars with Kim, Moon, Xi and Trump the only variable in there was Trump, and he pulled it off.

While the deal was more of guest book signing with nothing actually in there, its a huge step in the right direction.

Hopefully the USA can contain its self not to provoke NK, Kim's been given a free pass, slate is clean lets hope like fuck he takes advantage of it.

Indeed a day for celebrations in the South, a clear path has been set for Kim to follow.. lets hope he does.

That is incorrect.

Trump made it SEEM that way. But as Chris Wallace was saying last night...it was very apparent that the agreement they came to was already "baked in".

Pompeo and Trump's team have been working on this for a while.

Those fancy leather document holders and beautifully made documents on parchment along with the signing pens didn't just suddenly appear.

This was a carefully done deal and Trump being a master showman...led you and the media to believe it was all just "seat of the pants".

He loves playing the media. And it's funny to watch MSNBC and CNN scramble to "Explain" everything away after everything they are saying turns out to be 100% wrong.
Again.

dyna mo 06-12-2018 10:49 AM

here's the BIG deal in its entirety from the master showman.

President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un state the following:
1. The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new US-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.

2. The United States and DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.

3. Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula

4. The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.

we're supposed to be wowed by the dealmaker showman who put that deal together? :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I wouldn't say "wowed".
I'm pretty sure I've never been "wowed" by ANYTHING that any President ever did (maybe Reagan meeting with Gorbachev...maybe).

But I don't see anything bad about any of those 4 points. And finally officially ending the war in Korea would be nice too. (I believe it's actually the UN that was officially at war with them...though the U.S. did all the heavy lifting as usual).

I think Trump is doing here what Obama SAID he was going to do...talk to our enemies face to face.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that at all. Matter of fact, it was Obama saying that in 2008 during the election that cemented my vote FOR him in that election.

Of course there is no way to predict the future. The whole thing could just fall apart.
As the President says over and over: We will see what happens.

this entire event reminds me of Obama's hope and change baloney. I learned my lesson buying into that sort of political nonsense. and we were all led to believe big things would come out of this summit from the master negotiator, although that was sort of walked back over the last week so the trump admin could claim a big win despite his earlier bold promises and threats of nuclear annihilation.

Of course.

I can give Trump a little credit for this (but just a little). Kim Jun Un meeting and shaking hands with another world leader is much better than throwing bombs around.

Trump is man-child, but I'll give him a +1 on this if it prevents a war.

I'm glad...

I was referring to south koreans. The fact is trump threw a temper tantrum and bailed on the joint G7 statement and called trudeau names when trudeau stabbed trump in the back after he left.

combine that with trump's threat of nuclear fire and fury in the Asian region and I can clearly see how south koreans are relieved trump didn't torpedo the summit.

You mean just yesterday? LOL.

So far, I kinda like the hostages we got back, the test sites being dismantled, rockets not flying through the air over Japan - little things like that mean something to ME - but I'm just silly that way.

none of that has anything to do with the denuclearization summit. test sites were already used and not needed, as well as test rocket launches. don't get played, you're smarter than that.

the summit was about denuclearizing, not hostages, not test flights, not baloney sandwiches. NK has >60 nuclear weapons and still to this day is working on their nuclear weapons program and will be tomorrow and the day after and so on.

I didn't set the bar, trump and trumpers did.

Yes, constant panels of trump bashing is objective news.

Are you taht naive to think that CNN is not biased news? That it does not have left leaning agenda?

Come on, nobody is THAT naive :1orglaugh

How many pro and anti trump members were invited by cnn panels?

I remember numbers were like 80 vs 7 or something to this extent, LOL.

Yes, this is fair and objective reporting :1orglaugh

Give me 50/50 panels and then call it objective, not this disgraceful fabricating of mass opinions.

Panels is just one example, another example is them spending air time on something ridiculous lke how Trump holds his water bottle.

Or having some minor anti Trump issue repeating itself every half an hour for 24 hours while more important non Trump issues have much less air time.

And so on and on.

Nobody is that naive to not see this absolutely disgraceful "journalism". Hit job news network.

It has zero to do with the Koreas joining. South Koreans have been under the constant threat of nuclear attack from a madman in the North. I can't imagine the stress it caused the people in the South when Kim launched the test missiles and threatened South Korea.

So the thought that NK might be stripped of its nuclear power and desires peace with SK and the USA, has got to be reason for celebration for South Korea's people.

The diffrence is, I stuck to the topic. I didnt go ranting and raving about something unrelated but rather showed the hypocrisy of Robbie for claiming this agreement is great, when in reality he knows absolutely nothing about what is in the agreement nor do any of us..
