Updating my S7 to Oreo...
 

I have finally given in after a weeks constant harassment from my phone to update. By WHY? I am happy on Nougat, like how it is, everything works but no... I 'HAVE' to upgrade to Oreo, just for the fucking sake of it...

OK< I'll no doubt get some subtle new features that I will never ever use, but in essence, if its not broke and I'm happy, I should be able to say 'No Thanks' and be done. Not get harassed by it constantly trying to update itself, despite my telling it not to do it yet.

Anyway, rant over - The phones doing it now on my desk. Just hope its not gonna take me ages to get my shit how I like it...

Well OK, I'll admit that it was pretty painless tbh... Very straightforward and its not radically different from Nougat.

I remember how different visually Nougat was from Marshmallow, however I bought the phone just as Nougat was released so never got that familiar with MM, which was a good thing.

Thew new update is actually pretty cool. More sleek and made my phone faster, i like it

What phone? Same as mine or?

Mine seems fast, but then it wasn't slow before.

Time to get another phone, I just updated my s7 edge and the shit is slower and 4g doesnt work that great. I am on verizon.

i c4nt afford an Oreo...

Between 2 computers, 2 cell phones, an iPad and the countless number of software/apps I use across the board… It seems I'm always updating something.

my S9 is on oreo and it seems nice but then again my last phone was a cheap pp Samsung that was several updates behind.

Me neither... I stole mine when it was left unattended in my local starbucks... :(

Just fucking hungry as usual man... Its not surprising given the size of me... I dont think about much else tbh... :(

You can turn autoupdates off (check the "manual updates only" box)

Besides, the new update is pretty sweet.

i'm still on S7 Edge and loving it because it has physical "home" button.

I hate the new sensor buttons and refuse to upgrade :mad:
