How to Live Live Stream own Videos on Website ?

Just doing some brain storming,

Is it possible to live stream videos on a website.

What are the obstacles to achieve Live Streaming ?

What are the costs involved to do this ?

I would prefer a method to self host Live Streams, so avoiding 3rd party providers would be desirable.

Most likely cam models, I just was wondering if this type of thing is achievable. This is just a idea at this point, could lead no where, but it would be very cool to hear back from the community if this is possible and if so how to do so.

Yes it is possible to setup a live stream on a website, there are many sites that does this. Ever heard of Chaturbate, Myfreecams, Livejasmin or Streamate for example?

Well, to how many are you wanting to stream? Will it just be for your boyfriend, then it won’t require much but if you’re gonna be the next CNN then a substantial investment will be needed.

Possibly multiple users, to start probably in the hundreds, in things workout i'd probably scale up to handle in the 1000's

How much would you think one would need to invest if they where starting out and needed to live stream maximum a couple hundred users ?

Also what would the live streaming be built with ?

If you read my thread properly I said I clearly stated it was just an idea I then replied to another comment and said Which means just an idea that may lead no where.
