Question to Dutch people. Moving to NL under The Dutch American Friendship Treaty

Anyone knows or has any friends who did this? I am ready to start something new.
How difficult is it to maintain the status and does this law allow one to live lets say in neighboring Belgium but conduct business in Holland?

Interesting, never heard of that before, would be nice to know if you get a normal EU travel passport with your visa.. I wonder if there is anything for having former Dutch ancestry but well past your grandparents.

Perhaps Trump could send Mexicans to Holland for $4,5k each and be neighbors to onhunglow..

Do you really think Europe can handle more immigrants?

Would it not be counter productive for your own cause to support more immigrants considering the already expansive alt-right movement?

You seen the taxes in The Nederlands?

I do know that you have to come in with a business plan showing what you're going to do and how you're going to contribute.

I highly suggest not coming in and starting a nutella, waffel, or tourist trap shop in amsterdam. ;-)

What Petra says... The official expat website is: https://www.iamexpat.nl/

Check: https://www.iamexpat.nl/expat-info/o...it-netherlands

Basically you need to show that you are not going to become a burden on society or draw from the welfare system and that you are going to do your part. You can also look for international companies in Holland that are hiring and they can get you a work visa.

What if you own porn websites and work from home and get paid in US dollars to your US bank account? Therefore no 'burden' to anyone. :)
