Waiting Your Turn: Wait Times for Health Care in Canada, 2017 Report
https://www.fraserinstitute.org/stud...in-canada-2017

"Everyone has access to free medical care that is ‘good enough.’ If you want to pay for better health care, you can’t,” he said. “That’s why those who can afford to, tend to go down to the U.S. for care if they have anything serious happen to them. You can have the greatest doctors in the world, but if the bureaucrats that run the system are making them treat patients with one hand tied behind their back, are they going to be delivering the best possible care?”

This one won't really change the court that much. In cases that were close where he could have been the swing vote, Kennedy voted with conservatives 71% of the time. He wasn't the moderate a lot of people make him out to be.

The one the Dems should be worried about is Ginsberg and they should still be pissed about having a seat stolen from Obama. If I were a Democrat running during this midterm I would talk about that stolen seat and the importance of controlling the Senate for confirmations every time I opened my mouth.

How much you want to bet his pick is moderate but Dems go bat shit crazy anyway? Just another opportunity for him to show what fools they are. Hell they don't even know who it is yet and already saying "no" vote.

I doubt he will be nominating a moderate as everyone I have seen on his list is pretty conservative. Still, if the left wants to get pissed about this nomination, fine by me. If it gets them to turn out and vote in November, great.

That list was just thrown together on the fly. Likely won't even be from that list. Especially since everyone is monitoring those people.. Literally watching their houses to see if they are there tonight.

Or, it will be the guy that has been on his list from the beginning. . .And he's no moderate.

According to one prominent measure of judicial ideology, called Judicial Common Space scores, Kavanaugh would fall to the right of Gorsuch and Justice Samuel Alito, and just to the left of the arch conservative Justice Clarence Thomas
He's no moderate.

The Dems will put up a fight, but he is still very likely to be appointed unless he comes right out and says he would vote to overturn Roe V Wade.

He's no moderate, but he will be confirmed.

The process takes a couple months.

onwebcam 07-09-2018 07:06 PM

Apparently he and Gorsuch clerked the same year as Kennedy's clerk.

I think the hope is that they will delay this until the election and the Dems will retake the Senate. They could then force Trump to pick a more moderate candidate.

Simple majority, they can't filibuster. Democrats fucked themselves on Gorsuch.

Right and nothing can really be done so no need to stress about it. Obama had 2 SCOTUS picks and Trump has had 2.

SCOTUS has already ruled that corporations are people, and can do unlimited damage with no personal human responsibility, and unlimited money can be funnelled anonymously into elections. What will they do next?

Say no abortions? States rights. There's also the morning after pill for $20-$40, and many different variations of it, available online without a prescription or at your local drugstore.

No Gay marriage? Gay marriage was legal in 36 states before it was legalized nationally in 2015. SCOTUS will not overturn something already legal in 73% of states and already ruled on by them 3 years ago. No big deal. What else?

States rights :thumbsup

Kavanaugh seems to be a strict constitutionalist. Which is how they all should be.

This is why he chose him
In a 2009 Minnesota Law Review article, Kavanaugh wrote, “Even in the absence of congressionally conferred immunity, a serious constitutional question exists regarding whether a president can be criminally indicted and tried while in office.” He added that the indictment and trial of a president “would cripple the federal government, rendering it unable to function with credibility in either the international or domestic arenas.”

Any justice nominated by Chump should recuse themselves if anything pertaining to Chump and the Mueller investigation reaches the court

Trumpers don't care about this, they actually embrace it. They openly admit they would love nothing more than a dictatorship.

The funny thing about dictators is that once they take power THEY are in charge and do what they want no longer beholden to their "base". Trumpanzee's are too stupid yo look that far ahead :evil-laug

TheSquealer 07-10-2018 07:39 AM

As if you retards were going to do anything BUT protest REGARDLESS of who the nominees were.

Haha... thanks for your tireless efforts to make #WalkAway a real thing thats still gaining momentum. Nice to see such strong dedication to a Republican victory in the mid terms and a complete and decisive Trump victory in 2020.

Your country needs you to Make America Great Again and you answer the call and act, all day long. It's really touching.

I have Kaiser and there are long wait times. If I have to see a specialist and its not life threatening, its at least 2 to 3 months. And I pay for that insurance.

Flake hates Trump, so does McCain, that's 49. Probably another never Trumper will vote against him, so that's 48. Trump needs Manchin and one other democrat to get to 50, although I'm not sure the "nuclear option" (Thanks Harry you one eyed dipshit) allows for a tie break that Pence can do. If he needs 51, he'll need at least two democrats. Who will they be?

xClips Jim 07-11-2018 06:55 AM

Very little chance that McCain will vote against Trump on this choice.

When we discuss McCain doing something, we should use quotes. He isn't all there. Can you believe he ran in 2008?

You think Flake will vote with him?

McCain has a lot of skeletons - even though he'd love to stick his thumb in Trump's eye, I don't think he will be allowed to do it.

Flake - eh, not sure. I doubt he would be retiring on his own so likely something is going on there. Congress is a disgusting cesspool on both sides of the aisle. Trump has done what he can inside the DOJ, FBI, etc but only voters can do something about Congress - which is where I think the majority of these investigations will arrive at in November. :2 cents:
