I started sleeping outside

.. on the deck. I sleep with a some quilts laid down and a pillow. my dog guards me.... first night was 80 deg when I went to sleep, got up about 4am it was still 75 deg...

it's weird since I'm sleeping 'on the floor' I now have an infinity view bed... and I'm wondering do I need the .45 for the bigger cats? I don't think they will 'stalk a human' with a big dog there... I worry about a fucking rattler climbing on to me while I'm cutting zzzz's

Bladewire 07-10-2018 02:24 PM

Just don't sleep out there when you're on you're period, wait until your cycle is over. You don't want coyotes or wolves to get your scent :2 cents:

CaptainHowdy 07-10-2018 02:33 PM

Bigger cats like what?

Bladewire 07-10-2018 02:45 PM

Here sleep on this elevated hunting platform, it's portable, around $200 and it can go up to 10 feet high. I don't want anything happening to your dog. You can also use it to shoot porn at cool angles on the property :thumbsup

You can buy it here

If you become a club member with them it's $197

Here are some of it's features:

Sturdy steel construction

4' x 4' foot platform

Flip-up trapdoor

9"w. steps with handrails

500-lb. weight capacity

8 universal mounting brackets

10'h. to platform

Set up a perimeter like arnold did in the predator movie...can you buy claymores in the USA?....if not ruburself with mud to be invisible and stalk the big cats and snakes with a knife in your mouth...the element of surprise must be on your side...

I block off one into the patio with a couple of chairs in the table so my poor dog can relax

before I did that he mostly sat up all night long walking from one end to the other

I don't think the cats want to fuck with my dog he's a hundred and seventy pounds

Either way we'll all have a moment to think about it before anything happens

A friend in Santa Paula, in Ventura County north of where Brian is, heard a commotion on his porch, and went to investigate. He found a cougar carrying off his 100lb dog, which the cougar had just killed.

These are not animals you should fuck with.

I agree... we get notice in the news when the cats are around the area.. in Cornel I could hear the horses when the cats came around...

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DhyNggdUEAEb6By.jpg

the damn view though Marco.... nothing out there, no TV, no radio, nothing just the night and the world...

The cats are always around dude.

It's the middle of summer right after the heat wave low water supply low food supply.

The news doesn't have your phone number to call you when a cat is on the next hill over on its way to your place, nor do they give hourly or daily updates on the news you weirdo :1orglaugh

I don't like sleeping outside with all the noises.. that and the fact I'm up all night and sleep during the day.

I've done a lot of camping in my time but never slept unprotected. Way to many incidents have occurred even in a tent.. But even walls and doors sometimes don't help.. I live in an old late 1800s hotel. It's too big for 1 person to keep track of everything that goes on.. I have a door for my cat to come in and out of as she pleases on the first floor. Well, the neighborhood critters have figured this out. The first 2 floors I use as storage for my business and the 3rd is my loft. The loft is impenetrable but you're in no mans land at night on the other floors.. So far I've come to find a opossum decided to take up shelter here during the winter. I caught him eating the cat food one night.. Several other cats.. For the past week I noticed my cat was blowing through some food so I knew I had a new visitor. Last night I met Mr. Raccoon. He greeted me at the top of my stairs. I scared him just as much as he did me so he moved along rather quickly.. Haven't seen or heard from him since, yet... Luckily my visitors have been more afraid of me than me of them so far though.. Also helps that I'm in town I guess.. If I were in the country I'd probably be rethinking the cat door.

I'm making a change again here real soon as well. 3 years of this place has met my wits end. I have a place I've been working on for retirement but it's about 1.5 hours away from my son so that permanent move will be awhile.. About to move the business end elsewhere and I'm thinking about getting a houseboat or something for a while.. I don't want to buy anything else in this market..

A .22 should take care of the bigger cats.

Grapesoda 07-11-2018 07:05 AM

contrary to popular belief, I do NOT like to kill stuff. pretty sure the high intensity LED flashlight will drive the cats off

PR_Glen 07-11-2018 07:06 AM

You guys not have mosquitoes out there? snakes and other things keep to themselves for the most part. bugs don't

for some reason the mosquitoes don't really bother me... I don't use scented products on my skin when I'm out around the house. mountain lions are the cats we are referencing. plus I've lived in the country around here for 7 years already... just move further in is all... closer to Malibu. in fact have a Malibu address now. thing is the address and the location are not on the same road... go figure right? makes finding the place kinda difficult if you aren't in the loop

I could use help with some editing, love the grammar Nazi stuff about you.. and some physical stuff... I have had an operation on each elbow. 1 operation on my right shoulder and 2 operations on my left shoulder. bone issues, torn ligaments and bicep leaving me with 10% mobility on the left and needing another operation on the right shoulder, bone stuff, torn ligaments and bicep... plus the torn meniscus in my left knee. I'm doing the rowing machine 30 min a day 4-5 times a week and the elliptical 75 min 4-5 times a week.

I'm not sure what you guys goal in the gym is. my goals are very specific. super solid core strength, solid legs and to be able to move weight around very close up. I fuck hot young women, they will NOT tolerate anything other than a damn good pounding, in many positions until it clicks for them. they all talk... you let one ,down you are out... risk I'm not willing to take.

me working out is hit and miss. I have hurt myself so bad I wasn't able to do anything for a few months. after the 2015 surgery on the left shoulder I was told NOT to lift a cup of coffee with my left arm for 4 months... right now I'm pretty good. just doing the cardio and the core stuff.. some leg stuff.... shooting is great exercise. strong legs help. my shoulders are failing though.

I smoke weed all day to combat the pain and try to maintain consistent exercise. it's weird being on such intense Psychoactive drug 24 hours a day for over 3 years. I don't dream. I wake about every 1.5-2 hours.... check stuff and close my eyes again. I just get up and continue what I was doing when I think I have had enough 'sleep'. yet my waking hours have states of dreamtime interspaced though out the day, sometime I'm not completely lucid for brief time however I'm pretty much 100% on track with stuff.

it's a very strange life.... as far as the political stuff goes: we are made of exactly the same stuff... there is no race, only tribes. the only difference between us is what we say to and about each other. that's it. we all want the same thing. opportunities for others to have and share in human dignity.

I accept god. my thoughts are we are all entitled to one thing. and one thing only. free will. that's it. however we as humanity have the resources available right now, today to grant every human on this plant clean water, food, health care, education and the opportunity to earn self respect and dignity.

so you can see why my opinion on divisive political rhetoric is pretty low... :2 cents:

hang on

Your sleeping on the patio, when its 23c and you need to pack a 45 in case the boogie man gets you

unfreaking believable, maybe think of changing country, somewhere warmer for a start.

Mosquitoes are known not to bite those with cancer, large amounts of drugs in their system ( alcohol, weed, etc. ) , people who are dehydrated, people with low Co2 levels or have low hormonal imbalances ( low testosterone & low estrogen levels )
