Rick Scott and wife invested in company tied to "private" funded FL High Speed Rail
 

7 years ago, I was hoping this HSR project would be completed. The Governor and FL republicans said it would cost the tax payers too much and so declined 2.4 billion dollars that was already allocated for it.

Today it is reported that Florida Governor Rick Scott, currently campaigning for a FL senate run, and his wife, have invested at least 3 million in a company that is tied to a privately funded company that plans to complete the original Orlando to Tampa HSR route proposed by the tax payer funded proposal. They could very well have invested more.

I actually hope the project doesn't get derailed, like the first one, but there are some serious red flags over their involvement.

Is Rick Scott a Republican or a Democrat? Let me guess.

He was also the head of a company that was convicted of the largest medicare fraud in the history of the USA at the time.

Then he tried to get welfare recipients to be drug tested at facilities his wife owned.

Rick Scott needs to be ass raped in prison daily. He is one of the most corrupt pieces of shit in this country. The only state governor more corrupt than him is Scott Walker and maybe the fat ass in NJ..

He also allowed Duke Energy to charge their customers something like 2 billion dollars in surcharge fees to build a new nuclear power plant. They then didnt build it and Rick Scott allowed them to keep the money and not pay back the consumers..

Seriously he'd be right up there at the top of a death wish list for a lot of people in FL. Hes a bigger piece of shit govoner than Jeb Bush was..

Then, also while as Gov, he got FL to hand over the healthcare of prisoners to private companies, claiming the costs to tax payers would be lowered. Well, the costs actually went up from 286 million 2 years ago, to now 386 million.

In return, the companies profiting are funding the governors and friends campaigns with big dollar contributions.

This is the same for HSR. The HSR company tied to Scott, has also been funding Rick Scotts campaigns. Not only for his last run as Governor, but also for his current Senate run.

Meanwhile Dieane Feinsteins husband has the contract on California's.

The difference is numb nuts.. Dieane Feinstein didnt kill a already funded program that already had millions of tax players money invested in it.. Then a few years later show up as a investor in a private company project that will reap the profits of the wasted tax dollars..
