Trump's approval rating among black voters is a whopping 3 percent

President Trump's approval rating is pretty dismal overall, a poll by The Washington Post and ABC News found on Friday, but the numbers are worse in some demographic groups than others.

Just 3 percent of black Americans polled said they approved of Trump's performance, compared to the president's 36 percent approval overall. An overwhelming 93 percent of black Americans, meanwhile, said they disapprove. Those numbers have plummeted, data over time shows; just months ago his approval among black Americans was nearly 20 percent.

I read the article, and the poll has a margin of error of 3.5%... so it's possible -0.5% of black voters approve of Trump.

Optimistic :2 cents:

Robbie 09-02-2018 08:36 AM

And we all know how accurate the polls are
I think Trump is right...the polls are meant to suppress the vote.
Only it didn't work last time.

nicely done.

so much for the trump/guiliani strategy of attacking to try and sway public opinion.

ahahahahah.

Rochard 09-02-2018 09:19 AM

This is by far the least popular president we have had since the 1940s. And this is happening when Trump was handed a perfect economy.

pimpmaster9000 09-02-2018 09:32 AM

The MAGA will arrive soon and the rating will improve LOL

Trump promised lotsof MAGA

OneHungLo 09-02-2018 11:14 AM

Washington post? LOL

Here’s reality: Trump at 36 percent approval among African-Americans, new poll finds.

You think Rasmussen is reality. :1orglaugh

No, one-third of African Americans don’t support Trump. Not even close.

It might seem far-fetched that over a third of African Americans would now approve of a president with a very long history of racial insensitivity — especially because fewer than 10 percent of black voters supported him in 2016.

That’s because it is far-fetched. Trump’s black approval rating is nowhere near 36 percent.

Polling firms that have interviewed far more African Americans, and that are much more transparent than Rasmussen, all show that Trump’s black approval rating is much lower than 36 percent.

For example, Gallup has interviewed thousands of African American respondents in 2018. Its polling suggests that Trump’s black approval rating has consistently been around 10 to 15 percent through 2018.

The same is true in polling by Ipsos/Reuters

Similarly, the polling firm Civiqs, which has interviewed more than 140,000 respondents in 2017 and 2018 suggests that Trump’s black approval rating has consistently been in the single-digits throughout his presidency.

Similarly, Trump’s average approval rating among African American respondents in seven YouGov/Economist surveys conducted in July and August was 13 percent. His average approval rating among African Americans in four Quinnipiac University surveys conducted over the past two months was just 9 percent.

It absolutely is; it was very close to 2016 numbers. 538 cites it regularly.

I know several. I would say, as usual, the truth is between 3% and 30%, and both those numbers are outliers. Further, the Post poll is not likely or registered voters, so matters little.

Why dose it have to be about Black this and Black that? Stop with all the racist talk. We are all just people. Starting today,no special rights for anyone. Everybody should be treated the same.

No can do - that's racist, because people were treated differently 200 years ago :1orglaugh

If the blacks knew what was good for them they would never vote democrat again. Just about every major problem in black communities can be sourced to left wing politics.

I don´t think so.

And while Trump has never topped 46 percent on the RCP average, Rasmussen has shown Trump with approval ratings as high as 59 percent.
here look if you can find a 59% approval rate for trump on rasmussen

and is the guy who wrote this article able to understand the methodology of this polls ?

i don´t think so.

this is a 5 options poll what is methodologic incorrect. a tendence poll needs a even number of possible answers to prevent something in the middle.

also look about the times and the people they are calling.
no normal working person is on the landline phone at this time. they are reaching only older person.

but even with all that pro trump circumstances compare his approval rating with obama´s and you will know about donald dumb´s future.

Vendzilla 09-03-2018 11:24 AM

LOL Twatwaffles still believe in polls after the upset of their president losing after how many months?

Polls can't predict electoral college votes. Trump lost the popular vote by quite a lot, as the polls indicated he would.

The rest isn't even worth addressing it's so stupid.

Winning overwhelmingly in New York and California won Hillary the "popular vote".

She lost the popular vote pretty convincingly in the 48 other states.

And yes..the polls WERE predicting the electoral vote. Remember?
Every night John King would be on CNN with his "magic board" showing a map of the country and the electoral vote totals that the polls were all predicting.
And he would say every night: "According to our polls...Trump has NO PATH to 270 electoral votes"

Does that refresh your memory a bit?

And then I remember in that last week watching the panels of "experts" on CNN laughing at Trump as he campaigned in Michigan and Pennsylvania and snarkily saying he was wasting his time in those states.

Boy...they really, really blew it.

And these polls now? I give them zero credibility.

This is 2018, not 1958. And people showed in 2016 that they are no longer going to be influenced by the media putting out fake polls to suppress their vote.

I can't predict what people will vote for. And those polls damn sure can't either.

But I think people WILL vote their pocketbook. The economy is simply super-charged under Trump.

OneHungLo 09-03-2018 03:51 PM

I love it. Shit libs are shitting their pants because they know they are losing the black vote. You can bet your ass that the Washington comPost wouldn't be putting out some bullshit poll to pacify their readers if they didn't think there was a threat.

That is just simply not the case. Yes, she won big in Cali and NY. She also won 20 additional states. Curious how she can lose the popular vote convincingly in these states and still win the state?

I was meaning that when you add up the other 48 states she lost convincingly. She won huge in Cali and NY...and then other states were a lot closer in the popular vote that she won. But make no mistake...when you look at the map of counties across the nation...it's overwhelmingly Trump.

i feel really sorry for you guys.
in the democracy I know the people are voting and not maps and gerrymandering nonsense.

trump had a 5% chance to win the public vote and he did not even take this 5% because he LOST the public vote.

i can not wait the midterms - that will be real fun !!!!
