Is there any law that regulates this kind of stuff?

Can you do this if you're unconnected to the person named?

A law stating only you can raise money for another person? Nope. However, if you ask for donations for someone who you claim has cancer and needs medical assistance money, and they’re healthy and lying, you both are doing illegal activity.

The person accepting the gift better report it on taxes.

Interesting how the original amount was $300,000 and he keeps raising the amount needed to now $500,000

Something fishy is going on there, luckily, according to him, GoFundMe is not giving him access to the funds, only to Kavanaugh.
