The FBI compiles evidence. They do not prosecute.

Ford and Kavanaugh were face to face with the people questioning them under oath. If there were facts to be found (or you wanted to look at "HOW" they answered), it was done on that day.

The FBI taking statements simply cannot result in a prosecution in this particular case because it falls outside of their jurisdiction. Christine Fraud still has not gone to local authorities in the town where this happened.
