Just weeks after President Donald Trump wrote out the answers to a series of questions from Robert Mueller, the special counsel is pressing to interview the president face to face, sources have told CNN.

“Nothing has changed in that sense from the first day,” one source said.

And the Trump camp is resisting.

In one area of interest, Mueller wants to get to Trump’s “state of mind” regarding possible obstruction of justice in the investigation into any Russian collusion with the Trump campaign to manipulate the U.S. presidential election, a source told CNN.

After months of wrangling, Mueller finally agreed in September to allow Trump to write out answers to his questions. Mueller did not say, however, he was forfeiting any future demand for an interview.

Trump provided the answers shortly before Thanksgiving. The questions dealt only with possible collusion between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign.

they have NO IDEA what went on in court yesterday, all we do know is that when they want to keep something quiet and out of the public eye... there's no problems doing it.

The fact that Mueller still wants the FBI to interview him AFTER he submitted the written answers, is what's new information.

It was previously said that the investigation was close to being wrapped up and they were just waiting for Trump to answer his questions. Now that Trump answer the questions they still want to interview him with the FBI.

His written answers weren't good enough, and it's been said he contradicted another witness and their verified statement of facts.

I'd presume, that Trump would of fucked up and I guess many others would do too based on his previous lies and it appears Mullers not asking anything he doesn't know the answer to. BUT... its pure speculation.

There is no basis for this investigation. The wire tap warrants were originally supported by a fake news dossier that the FBI didn't even verify.

At this stage the investigation exists merely as an attempt to get people to lie about irrelevant details to a case where no actual crime is being investigated. The lying itself then becomes the crime being investigated.

This is going to go down in history as the biggest legal farce ever.

I do read the news from numerous sources and digest it, and your right-wing nut job sites fuelled by Murdoch and his Ruski troll armies are the biggest fake news spinner's on the planet feeding an audience of brain dead zombies. Personally I'd hope Mueller has enough not to have to sit down and talk to him. Trump can speak at his impeachment trial in front of the country and the world... that will be MUCH more satisfying ;)

Mueller is doing a report.. to Trumps Government, you may never even see it, certainly team trump will do EVERYTHING in their power to prevent it. So have a nice big chat out in the open just like they did with Clinton... with the whole world watching. Then Mr Mueller can bring up a few points of interest he may have ..

The written questions were only about collusion and he got them wrong...
