Any experience with traffic buying for mainstream sites?

So I am thinking about buying traffic from adult sites to mainstream gaming project. I am pretty much okay with advertising on adult sites with it.

Anyone tried something similar? Did it convert?

TrafficJunky and PornHub in particular.

The only way to really know is to test for yourself hun x

yeah you gotta test it for yourself, but...

the thing I have seen with adult media buying, is that, the users are horny/dick-in-hand so you make the best ROI selling dating scams, dick pills, adult games, etc. Things that take advantage of dumb horny dudes

There's not enough targeting options compared to facebook or google. So the only thing you can reliably target, is that its dumb horny men

so it's hard to sell a mainstream product, because the best targeting and ROI comes from scamming dumb horny dudes.

if you could target better like facebook can it would be different.

But its worth a shot, might as well throw a few hundred at it to test

When i used to aim gaming with adult i did it via Hentai niche, conversion was Ok, 1:900 aroundish but as real porn my conversion sucked lol perhaps was my ads. My 2cents good luck mate

PS: really depends what you selling or the service you providing, though

Sure, it's always a subject of test, but as we can see there are people who tried that.

Focus: I agree that Hentai is pretty close niche. TrafficJunky offers ads based on used "keywords" so I guess you could target gaming keywords there and display your ads to more targeted audience.

I know, it's still just porn, but by judging myself I am not completely blind to ads on porn sites. I read that some mainstream companies already tried it with Pornhub because the price is just very low compared to Facebook or Google Ads and to be honest Pornhub becomes known brand outside porn. They had advert on Times Square, NYC (https://i.pinimg.com/originals/34/f2...d3a36dbd82.jpg). I think that most people won't be as offended by PornHub as by other porn sites.

It's true that those brands offer quite generic product that everyone needs - food, underwear.. but still..

thanks for your replies

The only way to know for sure is to run a small test, but I think your offer needs to be somewhat aligned with the wants of horny dudes considering their current mindset when watching porn.

I've had some success with PUA offers since most of the guys pulling it to porn would much rather have a real girlfriend.

There's a good offer to try in my sig.
