here is a nice piece of history, it is ronald regans campaign consultant lee atwater and his "southern strategy"...this all happened right after nixon needed the racists votes and used "the war on drugs" as trump is using his wall today...its very amusing to see how republicans rely on the racist vote so much that it is an integral part of their campaign strategy...

Some of us have known that but you are not going to get a valid response from those that buy into it.

The republicans were progressive liberals then.... what happened ? LOL

there is a great documentary on netflix called the 13th...

in the beginning it was not really an agenda to enslave blacks again but just to capitalize on republican racism and win the elections...but after decades of throwing them under the bus, after decades of using them as the boogeyman, there are more blacks in prison today without freedom than there were slaves during the civil war...

most of these blacks in jail did not even get a trial...95% of them take a plea deal because the USA is so free that if everybody got fair trial the whole system would collapse...some states even had contracts with private for profit prisons to keep the numbers constant...they were literally under contract to fill prisons...

in a rare moment of honesty, even war criminal bill clinton admitted that he used the "get tough on crime" to win elections and that he went too far and said he was wrong with the drug war...and yes I am aware clinton is a democrat, this does not make the republicans smell any better...

2020 will be "throw under the bus" time again...the racist vote will be a key factor in winning...

Trump didn't win the election. Trump colluded with Russia, and that's why he's in the White House right now. Its an impeachable offense, and he'll be impeached.

I predict within 7 days, Hillary will be residing in the White House. She may even take the high road and give Trump a full, unconditional pardon. This will allow us the evil bliss of watching him avert his eyes in shame to everyone he meets in public, for the rest of his miserable life.

They have a new boogieman to add to the mix...
Mexicans and other immigrants. Should add to the hate and vote.
But I doubt it helps.
Trump won on simply the fact that voters stayed home on the left.
Not going to happen again. The last mid-term is a clue.
They need to find more issues to divide and demonize.
I fear Trump is itching for war in Iran. help his Saudi and Israel friends.
The Senate has been trying to cut that cord.

It is NOT racism, but a fear of the zealot, culturaly differnt and violent minorities they are afraid of.:2 cents:

I will say the South and even places out west are a completely different country from say the West Coast and the Northern states..


In the South both sides are to blame.. The whites are mostly ignorant red necks who are racist and the blacks act/dress like hoodlums.

It all just feeds on its self certifying the stereotypes and racism..


Anyone who has lived in the South and then in a normal places understands what I mean..

well if they disenfranchise enough of them they could actually swing elections...close to 7 million americans can not vote and most of them are in for non violent crimes...at least 5 million of them are brown or black...that is certainly a nice 5-10% theoretical advantage for republicans...

you have to admire how they not only found a way to win racist votes, profit from private incarceration services, profit from incarcerated slave labor, profit from the war on drugs and also get an edge in elections by taking away their voting rights...sheeeet they even make them pay out of the ass for phone calls...in prison phone calls cost like a days labor :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

It's all about 'FEAR'
If they do not have enough of it, create some !
