Youtube, just wow. Can't be trusted.
 

So I go to my youtube stats page that was still open from yesterday and see the views and
then decided to reload the page to see how many more views my video has gotten since yesterday.
And wow, the number of views were less than before I reloaded the page!
Over 10% less that what I had just seen!:eek7

I lost 10% of my views on that video.
But I had also wondered about my views the day before yesterday.
I did't have any new views for 24 hours.
So this happened more than just today, and the views went back to the same
number from 2 days ago.


I'm not worried about revenue though; because youtube kicked me out of the partner program after 5 years because of their new requirements of having 1000 subscribers and
4000 hours of watch time in the previous year.

I never made more than $500 total from youtube; but I liked that I made it and got paid.

But now I wonder how much money I really made though.

But it was true and it still is when it comes to which sponsor to use.
I need content to build a website and I don't create it so I'm only going to use
a sponsor that can provide me with some content.
Cam sites provide their content with their feeds and API.

My video views were reset again to what it was 3 days ago.
Porn sites keep better hit stats.

Its true, It cunt be trusted.

I left youtube open on my computer the other day when I had to go out to my neighbours unexpectedly. (Something about a 65 inch TV going missing)

After I returned I realised that youtube had seen my credit card on my desk and signed me up to several gay pornsites!

Luckily I canceled the subs easy enough, but fuck that youtube! I'm never trusting it again!

Could they be culling bot views?

About once a month my Twitter takes a hit on followers due to bot culling.

It makes more sense to just not count the views until they are verified; rather than
delete views that we already saw counted.
That makes it look shady.

They should show hits/views to make it more clear.
