Banned from chaturbate affiliate program after 8000 regs via revshare?

Hi guys,

I have just tried to login to my Chaturbate affiliate account and got this message:

"Your account is banned from the affiliate program"

I'm quite worried & shocked atm. I have been working great with them, deleting some twitter profile that caused them problems, sending people on revshare, sent more than 8000 free regs, and without any warning, they seem to have banned my account.

Is there anyone I can contact?

CaptainHowdy 05-13-2019 01:16 PM

So you made fake Twitter accounts pretending to be chaturbate cam models and they banned you. Seems fair

bill_musk 05-13-2019 01:24 PM

They used to ask me and appreciate the fact that I deleted the content. Never warned me it was against TOS. Actually, the content is from their API of models online.

Code:

Dear XXXXXXXXXXXX,
Thank you.
And yes. The model had put in the request to have it deleted.

We appreciate the quick response. Thanks again.

That email was from 2018

So you have a long history of breaking their TOS multiple times and they finally cut you loose.

brassmonkey 05-13-2019 01:49 PM

spam is against the tos right? probably your twitter ventures. :2 cents::2 cents: or someone that wanted your spot and figure a way to remove you. i have someone trying to fuck over one of my good accounts.

Not trying to be a smartass, but using model content is not against the TOS. I have had multiple exchange where they asked me to delete some profiles I had, which I complied with almost immediately.

I brought more than 8000 free regs on revshare program, not saying I'm big, but you could expect a warning at some point, or ask me to stop promoting, without cutting me of all this work I put in.

re-reading the TOS, can't find such a ing to be honest. I wouldn't be so shocked if it was clearly explained.

I just hope I felt into some automatic filter & they will re instate my account.

bns666 05-13-2019 02:04 PM

in how much time did you refer those 8k registrations and did it make money on revs?

Started scaling up the method in september 2018. Made about $6100 in revshare (tahts about $32K spent through my codes) I was at $580 since beginning of the month.

Red Flags Everywhere when I read... " Started scaling up the method "

That says enough.

I only get CB emails like this when hell freezes over, cause pretending to be a model on Twitter and taking profit of their hard work, it's a big NO NO. You have placed yourself in a situation where you were just a middleman and not an affiliate.

I understand. Once again, not telling I was all white, but it seemed to be not a big problem, they send me which account poses problem, I delete it without arguing, we continue.

Now if they told me at least once, we will not accept this trafic anymore, I would have stopped, but most of the time I would answer "just deleted it, thanks for the heads up" and they would answer "thank you". I have (had :( ) enough revshare sign ups to cash for a moment....

brassmonkey 05-13-2019 02:24 PM

if you e whore they see it.

Your account was banned for impersonating a broadcaster on Twitter and catfishing people with the profile. You can e-mail me if you'd like to discuss this further.

Yes, a repeat offender flag was placed behind your account name. A few strikes and you are out. I understand that the money was good, but the way of doing it, when you work with humans and not with porn products like movies or toys, whatever, then you know you are on thin ice. You kinda knew you generated traffic in a shady way. But lesson learned. Keep also in mind that some models have privacy needs and they are not happy to see that an affiliate does not respect this.

Anyways, this is how it works, you make a mistake, you learn, you come with a better plan next time I hope. Learn from it.

I didn't say using model content was against TOS.

I specifically said "So you made fake Twitter accounts pretending to be chaturbate cam models and they banned you. Seems fair"

You cause problems for models when you do that.

You caused problems for Chaturbate when you do that.

You caused problems for fans when you do that.

Honestly, I didn’t think i was causing problems that much. When a profile was problmatic, i deleted it.

Otherwise, I really thought it was a win/win/win situation for chaturbate / the model / me. Now I feel like I might have been wrong all along.

When a fan sees your fake Twitter account they think you are that model so you're taking attention away from the real models Twitter account and you're wasting the fans time.

When a model sees a fake Twitter account you made of her she has to go through the trouble of getting it banned and/or contacting Chaturbate to file a complaint and notifying her fans its a fake account.

When Chaturbate gets a complaint from a model and/or a fan about your fake Twitter account Chaturbate has to communicate with the complainer communicate with you, follow up with the complainer, then follow up with you again. A hassle.

Anyway it seems like everything's taken care of and all is well :thumbsup

Are you an affiliate?

That's perfectly common terminology.. Social media requires innovation.

So so many sales are ultimately a derivative of ewhoring one way or another.. Especially with cams.

Chaturbate is now in a position to be choosy.. Maybe I'm missing something about his method, but it sounds fairly mild to me.

Why not try some API scripts here, some people have great solutions. WordPress is your friend. I am pretty sure you had one of those starts many had here, we learn during our road upwards. Just note, when working with 'dynamic content' then there are more things to consider. privacy of the model is 1 of them, GEO blocking certain countries which you overstep by putting them on Twitter for the world to see.

Good luck on your journey!

Maybe they got tired of asking you to delete content. Looked at your traffic and thought you're not worth the effort.

One thing is for sure, they don't ban people they're making money from.

You have to get a model's permission first, then the company she works for and only send traffic to that model. Otherwise you're breaking a matter of trust and deserved to get banned.
