Mass shooting in Gilroy, California
 

Every year in Gilroy, California, they have a "garlic" festival. Seems there was a mass shooting event. They are reporting 11 shot, 3 dead. I had friends who were there earlier today.

I am involved in a charity that puts on an event that draws in ten thousand people. This is our worst nightmare. This year we dramatically upped our security with two dozen armed security guards and six police officers.

When does this madness stop?

When you dont just handout guns to anyone who wants one.

Before getting involved in the AI, I was part of a team that managed every aspect of organizing large events.

if someone "is ready to die" not really much you can do. try to be armed is the only way to limit the damage. remember large events have large lines. they could easily stack up numbers without a checkpoint. i will not go over it but there are ways besides guns that would be worse.
