How many years do you knock off your age when you use a dating app?

Is there like an 'industry standard' in the dating world, say 5 years or such or should you just put your real age?

I haven't got a chance in hell of getting a match anyway, so I need to stack the odds in my favour as much as poosible...

~Evilin~ 08-11-2019 01:57 PM

i use just one age - 25.
If you use higher - u are losing most matches with girls that ready for an action right today.
Girls who are searching for a men higher +10 years than they are - they just searching for a dad and $$
This is my experience for a long time.

Actually i am tired of shit-dating and i am using paid love for the last 1-2 year lol

awxm 08-11-2019 01:57 PM

LMAO they gave you your own poo color. Congrats CS!

I've never used a dating app so...

RyuLion 08-11-2019 03:10 PM

None, I'm always honest, otherwise they'll never trust you..

Yup. If you're looking for any sort of spark whether psychical or emotional honesty is the way to do it.

Yes, except....it doesn't work on dating apps. Most of the women lie about their age and they expect that you also are, so you only get interest from women who are older than you are looking for.

Tasty1 08-12-2019 01:27 AM

Most woman really look ugly when they say they are around 35, most look like they are 50+ So i guess woman lie they are 10 years younger when they above 40 and 20 year younger when they above 50.

I keep my age under 40 sometimes :) But really doesn't matter, most man become more attractive when older for most woman ;) I got a lot of likes in Vietnam from woman 18 - 25, so i guess there must be a lot of prostitutes, else i wouldn't have so much matches.

Technically, this might be needed to do in applications like tinder as they have in setting to target by decade otherwise you might not appear in most of searches :D

CurrentlySober 08-12-2019 03:46 AM

Im actually thinking it might be a good idea to add ON about 10 / 15 years, so I appear to be in my late 60s / early 70s...

Post a nice pic of me, with my car, & plenty of 'bling' and gold etc, and have my extensive collection of daily medications on view 'accidently' in the background...

Then people would think 'He looks GREAT for hs age' and the hot sexy gold diggers who wouldn't look at me twice in real life, will see the bling and the medications, put two and two together and come flocking to me in droves of moist pussied wetness...

Hmmm... Decisions decisions...

lock 08-12-2019 05:29 AM

I didn't know scat dating apps existed.

blackmonsters 08-12-2019 07:35 AM

I add 50 years to my age so I can attract the hot gold diggers who figure I'm ready to croak.

:2 cents:

I've worked for dating companies - so know behind the scenes and have never had to use nor want to since more than likely you're talking to a computer. When you walk into a board meeting and one of the first orders of business is how to either get fake profiles going or purchase fake profiles so new customers don't think it's a waste of time - you know exactly what's going on.

Tinder, and say you are around 35 years and below 100 kilo.
Accuse them for fatshaming if they don't like big man.

OK, so divide real weight by 5 and hope they dont notice. Take 15 / 20 years off of real age. Then feign outrage when found out.

Noted - Thanks :)

Constant Phil 08-12-2019 08:54 AM

i would say about 50% of the women on there lie about their age and end up coming clean about it via direct message.

yuu.design 08-12-2019 09:43 AM

i never used them :S

bronco67 08-12-2019 09:28 PM

You should only knock off as many years as you can actually get away with in person. Everyone thinks I'm 10 years younger than I actually am, so I would go 10 years younger(if I used a dating app).

If you're 40 you look 40...don't put 30 as your age.

If you're 40 and you look 50...try a senior dating app.

Same. But, the dating companies that work don't need fake profiles..

NatalieMojoHost 08-13-2019 08:21 AM

Last I used a dating app (rather, dating site back then) was about 10 years ago. I'd always bump my age up by 5. Nobody believes in 19-year-olds that aren't looking for money on dating apps, so I didn't want to confuse people.
