Paxum & UnionPay Question for Ruth

Hello Ruth,

Thanks for your customer support in this forum.

About the UnionPay card. As I understand it, Paxum (and yourself) have said that they don't yet have a timeline for when the card will be ready for use.

My question to you is to ask if you can give us a "vague" timeline? Will it likely be ready by:

- The end of the month?
- The end of this year (December)?
- The end of next year?

I again realize that Paxum has no set timeline from the company backing the UnionPay card and so likely can't pass it on to us. But can you give us a vague timeline?

I ask because it will be helpful to know for me, and I'm sure for many others here, to help plan for short and medium term business transactions - sending/receiving money, who to do business with (what they can use to accept and pay out), switching payment options from affiliate programs etc...

Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks

Another Paxum question:

Can anyone login to their account right now?

Login is fine. Ruth is grand. The cards will arrive, like Jesus, when we least expect them.

Okay can anyone in the United States login?

I'm getting forwarded to the United States page and when I login it's just timing out. I've tried multiple computers now.

Unfortunately the Unionpay card issuer we're working with lost their USD bank correspondent. This means they are unable to receive USD funds from anyone, including Paxum. Since we're unable to send funds to the card issuer there is no way for any cards to be activated until we can get money to the card issuer to cover the costs of activation and naturally the funds clients want to transfer to their cards.

As a result of this situation we are making alternative arrangements directly with Unionpay to fund the cards, however there is a process (and paperwork) involved with this agreement and that is taking some time.

I'm sorry but I can't give an ETA as I don't have one myself.

While Unionpay cards are not currently able to be activated we do support other withdrawal options, such as WIRE, EFT, withdrawal to external Mastercard, and of course you always have the option to spend your Paxum funds with other Paxum users (purchasing traffic, hosting, etc).

The site is up and working fine. Do you have Access by IP on your account? If so, are you trying to access the site from a different IP? Since the login loads for you but times out when you try to pass through that seems like a potential reason.

If you don't use Access by IP please email me - [email protected] - along with a screencap (if possible) and details, and I'll ask our tech crew to look into it.

No, there was an API issue, and that was sorted out, but sadly sometimes when one issue is resolved another presents itself.

getting the backing is the issue. who knows if union pay will change their terms? paypal did a bunch of changes this year. now you are required to have a money account.

Does this mean Unionpay cards should be ready for Canadians soon? Is there an ETA for that? I received my card a few months ago but it remains unusable.
