Yukon Striker’s

Prepare to be exhilarated by Yukon Striker’s epic journey at a height of 223 feet above the wilderness, and a 90-degree drop, 245 feet down into an underwater mining shaft. With speeds reaching 130 km/h, soar through four dynamic inversions, including a complete 360-degree loop – the only one of its kind for a dive coaster. Be prepared for the ride of a lifetime beginning in 2019!

I was one of the first on the Pepsi Max big one at Blackpool!..

The Louge ride is the scariest ride there though. It seriously freaks me out.....

That looks pretty good though!..

I haven't been to the pleasure beach at all this century! I'll get back there one day though. Looks like it's all changed since I was last there !

OneHungLo 09-24-2019 10:05 AM

It was short but that first drop I nearly shit my pants.

geedub 09-24-2019 10:44 AM

1st row in the Valravn at Cedar Point is pretty bad ass. The video doesn't do it justice.

I went to Wiki to see if the Big One was this century. It was actually 1994!..

Time passes fast and I am so old!....

Id have immediately taken another ride, to see if I could manage it the second time :thumbsup

If at first you don't succeed... etc etc....

baddog 09-24-2019 11:20 AM

The stunt plane ride in Vegas that Lightspeed sponsored made all future roller-coasters seem rather tame.

I still go most years. Just something about Blackpool I've always liked. And at least they finally have some nice hotels and nice places to eat aswell.

But yeah the "big one" at the Pleasure Beach is still fun, it's all about speed of course. But yeah "Icon" and also "Fusion" are great coasters...

Yeah, last time we went up there we went on the Big One. It is a shitty memory really, because of the circumstances. We had just returned home from a few days away shooting, and immediately got raided by the police. They took away our entire stock of over 200 video cassettes because apparently they were going to watch them to check for obscenity...

This didn't bother me as such, because there was nothing 'Obscene' on them, but we were due to go on the 'Trisha Show' in a weeks time. The stuff we had promised the production crew that they could have to show (Which was stuff we had shot for them specifically, plus behind the scenes stuff - Nothing porno, suitable for daytime viewing etc) also got taken away by the police too.

This meant we couldn't go on the Trisha show as planned as we didnt have the tapes etc, so we thought fuck it, and decided to drive to Blackpool instead and book into Pontins for a week to get away from it all. First night there we went on the Big One, in the dark...

We got the tapes back eventually, but mysteriously a lot of them were 'Broken' (Like a large police boot had stood on them etc) yet the police swore that they were like that when they took them away from us...

I asked why they would have taken them if they were already shattered, as they couldn't have possibly been able to view them, to check for 'Obscenity' and they didn't seem to have an answer for that... But they seemed to have an answer for everything else of course...

That's one of the reasons we got pissed off with the UK and moved Stateside instead....

Great coaster...I used to live in NJ and had season passes to 6 flags. Lots of great memories.

However...LIFE is the biggest and baddest roller coaster of them all :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I've always been more into waterslides myself. I've never really done any epic ones but for scary its a toss up between red oaks in michigan with their rickety slide that sways in the wind and super short landing pool and one i went to in the dominican republic where engineering or regulations are not required to build these things. They are also not for adults in mind!

NatalieK 09-28-2019 06:21 PM

probably the Vampire ride, your legs dangle as you whip around over trees, shrubs & bushes...

Vampire at Chessington

The thing I hate the most about not having young kids anymore is I have no excuse to go to a water park anymore. I used to love them.

Speaking of coasters....

A SPEEDING rollercoaster carriage flipped over mid-ride at a Mexican amusement park — flinging two riders out to their death and injuring five others.

The victims, two men aged 18 and 21, died of horrific head injuries after the last car on the coaster derailed at the La Feria amusement park in Mexico City.
:Oh crap

Yep i did. The title "bitcoin billionaires" is extremely misleading though. They obviously scraped the bottom of the barrel. Why not CEO of Grayscale, Anthony Pompliano, Winklevoss's, CEO Morgan Creek, etc
