really, so billie elish made $3,745,000 off 535 mill views???

"So, say a YouTuber has a million subscribers. And he/she makes 2 videos per week. According to your question, let's assume they have 300,000 active subscribers from their subscriber base. That's a modest assumption, remember.

Now, 52 weeks in a year times 2 videos equals 104. So that's 104 videos per year.

Generally, banner ads pay you 0.8$ per 1000 views and roll out ads pay you 5-8$ for the same number of views.

That makes the total views per year to be around 300,000 active subscribers, times 104, equaling 31.2 million views.

Let's again assume that on average he makes $6 per 1000 views from both the type of ads.

Dividing 31.2 million by 1000 views and multiplying the result with 6$, you get a humble $187,200 per year!"

so the vid above is 158,512,066 views so that's $936,000 for the vid? really?? that's way better than porn

The vast majority of people who watch the videos are not subscribers, so your calculations for earnings should be a baseline and actual earnings should be much higher than the figures based on just the active subscribers to the channel.

Even at the average rate of $1,000/M viewers, the 158 million views for the 6:14 minute video would earn $158,000.

Yup it's still fun :) I can't blame them. Why do it for real when you can pay someone a few bucks and sign an agreement to keep it all legal. Most "reality TV" was that way and YouTube is no different. Working on a few ideas myself.

Still looking at the shampoo? That bikini is barely covering that ass.

The thing is, it's not possible to have it legal with random people ,unless you shoot in some shithole outside EU/US/other west countries. Hence need to have it fake.

People's rights to publicity in non-communist/socialist industrialized nations are usually based on their likeness. What if the random strangers' faces are blurred out?
