The adult industry used to be a part of CES?
 

I am watching "The Duece" on HBO and... They claim that in 1984 the adult indsutry used to have booths at CES? Is that true or just Hollywood?

Yeah. When I first went in 98/99 it was part of CES.

I forget how few of you on the web side actually went to any of the brick and mortar focused shows, but yes the adult show was part of CES (albeit always in a separate room on it's own) until I wanna say 2000 or 2001, when it branched off into the AVN show. I actually enjoyed it a lot more when it was part of CES, as I got to see all of the new tech stuff that was in the pipeline, although it was sometimes hard to get business done when a bunch of techie nerds from Microsoft were mobbing the adult room...
