Anyone here a REDDIT expert? (Technical question)

I've done my research and apparently there is NO WAY in the new reddit to disable downvotes in a sub.

But I'm still going to keep looking and maybe someone knows a way around the problem.

Let me get this right, you want to disable the downvote function in a reddit post?

No for an entire subreddit

Have you tried setting the downvote arrow to display: none in the style sheet?
That was the old trick. Not sure if that works anymore with the new design.

I've done that. Unfortunately it doesn't work with the new design.

In fact there's a whole lot of stupid in reddit's design. For example I would like to be able to see IP addresses, know who's hitting the report button, etc.

It's pretty much impossible on the new design. The admins did this to avoid sub-reddits skirting how their entire system is designed.

Post good content and it won't get downvoted.

Why not post materials that are LESS LIKELY to get downvoted?

Reddit is a cesspool of trolls.

But I did find a way to hide the downvote arrow and it's made a huge difference.

People are lazy as fuck and they're also idiots. The arrow is still there but since they can't see it they don't click it.
