After all the initial fuss re 'Cuties' on Netflix, if you have ACTUALLY WATCHED IT...
What did you make of it? I watched it this afternoon.
I'm happy to give my take on it, but I wanna see if I'm talking to other people who have actually watched it, or people that have not watched it, and are just aware of the 'outrage' about it.... What say you? If you WATCHED IT that is :upsidedow |
Is it basically preaching a message against the sexualization of young girls while at the same time sexualizing and exploiting young girls?
|
I've seen shows on little girls beauty pagents before, not intetested any more than I would
watch a show about being gay or tyranny |
I haven't watched it.
Most of the critics ,especially on gfy, haven't either... They're just parrots. |
Haven't seen it. Don't want to see it. Sound like a bunch of old ladies moaning about it who haven't seen it either.
At least one of those made their money in adult from the teen niche - braces, pigtails et al. Laughable. |

Typical French movie in that it ends without any real resolution or conclusion. The movie throws a sucker punch at both the culture of Islam and Western society's "Patriarchy." The mother is raising her daughter and son alone because the dad is in Senegal bringing home a 2nd wife. There's a scene where she's crying because her religion tells her to accept it. The star of the show is an 11 year old black girl and she's a real piece of work. She steals money for expensive clothes and later steals a phone. When she gets caught locks in herself in the bathroom and posts a picture of her cunt to the net. The next day at school a male classmate hits on her because of the cunt photo and she responds by stabbing him in the hand with a pencil. Also because of the cunt selfie, her friends kick her out of their dance club. So she retaliates by ambushing one of them and shoving her into La Seine. She takes no action when it looks like the girl might drown. At the dance competition the rest of the Cuties are forced to accept her because their friend has gone missing. They do about half of their dance but she fucks them over and quits and just stands on the stage bawling. Honestly, the movie is French Woke crap. It does sexualize the kids and as a pornographer I know I would be arrested if I produced similar to this bullshit. However, the only part that almost made me stop watching was when the 11 year old girl had to show her aunt that she got her period. She stood there wearing the blood soaked crotch of her jeans. - Obviously this period scene was just eye candy for fish eating dykes |

That is pretty much what i figured it would be. some weird shit pretending to be something else. |
I watched it. It is a nice little movie, but it has open ending and I hate open endings. A bit preachy at times. The scary bits are NOT what everybody complains ( you can see that in any shopping mall USA in the summer) but what is France turning into.... another Mali or Somalia.:2 cents:
Of course the zealots who talk about the "sexualization" of teens either have NOT seen the movie or visited any gallery featuring renaissance art ( or they would complain that baby Jesus has a small penis). If they saw it, then as in any aberration attack is the best defense:2 cents:. |

Looked like an after school tv show + those exploit dance scenes. Glad I missed the blood scene. |
It's bad to say that obly people who saw it can make their opinion, cause this ends up in a result where this get more views and the whole thing counts as "good marketing strategy cause it "provoke".
The trailer was totally enough to understand what these kind of creations ends up. It makes children to sex object, doesnt matter if the producers want it or not. |

as it happened to several other people, some still active in this industry, about 10-20 years ago when they were pushing child model sites (or billing for them). Like it not, this film is categorized as art, directed by a black woman, and reflects what happens out there every day a million times. If you find this scandalous, I dare you to read the full version of Anne Franks diary. And Pretty Baby you can still buy on Amazon too - where is your outrage there? You said it yourself: you make a living from selling the sickest shit you can find - but suddenly you are the moral authority? roflcopter... PS: yes, I did watch it. |

It is a fem exploitation film then . . .

It's also sexualizing children because there's no reason for an 11 year old girl to be shown with a blood soaked crotch showing her aunt that she's got her period. Quote:
