So with covid still running amuck... new, stronger, more deadly strains, evolving... Are they lifting any bans in your area?

Things here in Minneapolis are starting to relax a little yet there is still NO vaccine and what we have is in low numbers and hard to get. For some with limited transportation options, getting to the places giving the vaccine is difficult especially if you are high risk.

Still no jobs here. Many still unemployed. Many jobs here are food related.... so jobs are as rare as the vaccine itself.... yet they are removing protections. Hell, they are even starting to force some students back to schools. (or at least talking about it... they are requiring that in school learning open for older students.)

So they make restrictions just to lower the numbers... remove restrictions and numbers go back up. If we would have just locked down the entire country for 2 months when this first started, we could be over this already.

Bite the bullet, make the sacrifice and have it done with quickly and not this prolonged agony we have been dealing with for the past year.

I find it funny how some people refuse to wear a mask but those same people will also complain about someone's 2nd hand smoke... claiming it's so unhealthy for them. HA!

I just had an email saying when my vax apootment is. It also states I'm "Clinically Extremely Vulnerable" and its given me a code to get priority deliver slots from supermarkets etc... Bit late if you ask me - They could have done this last year...

Congrats! I hope it goes well for you. I was talking with my neighbor yesterday asking if she had gotten hers yet... She works for the main hospital here.... she said she is waiting. There are still too many issues with this version of the vaccine.

A doctor with no pre-exisiting conditions died within 2 days. Another person had to have 3 fingers cut off as the vaccine messed with her circulation.

Honestly, at this point.. I'll chance it. If not covid or the vaccine.. it will be nicotine or something else that gets me LOL. Fuck it. :thumbsup

No covid in Sydney for the past 30 days, life's been relatively normal since September, there's been a few outbreaks from returned travellers 1-20 people range, a weeks lock down in targeted few specific suburbs seems to knock it on its ass. Only a matter of time until these mutants hit hard and then it will be more difficult. Most of the early deaths here were in Nursing homes.. same issue worldwide.

Most business is back or never went, tourism is fucked of course but local restaurants are ok depending on clientele.

Vaccinations are just starting, liberal hippies are all in paranoid mode of course but I think everyone else will go for the jab.

here in Spain, the guardia civil block roads, ask for ID most places, all places inc. the beach and parks, we wear masks. We have bans for bars and restaurants, 10k fines, and anyone breaking the laws get fined, then the fine is automatically taken from the bank unlike other countries, where people don´t pay their fines and are partying...

I love Spain and the way the police here are. They´re friendly and kind, helpful and appreciate the sex business, allowing girls on the street, turning a bling eye to a guy smoking a joint, but fuck with them or put people in harms way and you´re fucked :thumbsup

Second hand smoke is good, you can see where the rona is going.

My little village is the only village / town / city in the county with no recorded cases of covid. Though I hear the pub across the street from me is suspected by folks in the next town over as being the spot they all get sick in.

Most SD restaurants have only closed off and on for a week so no real difference here, but Los Angeles is another story but I don't watch the news much so others can tell you more..

Everything relatively normal here. Some wear mask outside, some don´t. In restaurants the waiters have mostly mouthmask, but when people eat they can´t keep it up. Only 20% capacity allowed but i think 40% from tuesday. You can find full bars here, or in Tulum.

Beaches are open. You can just take a beach bed, enough space.

I thought they would weed legal here last month, but still working on it. Some started smoking already at the beach, i wouldn´t do that. But even if it is not legal (yet), the cops will rob you if you get the change anyway. They just steal the money from your wallet. More change you getting robed by a cop here than by a thief.

Average approx 400-600 new cases per day and deaths are low teens. no bars and open restaurants with restrictions. The variants haven't taken over yet in Vancouver. The vaccines are slow to arrive as I will get my first in August

Better hope they don't ignore it and let it spread like fuck so it mutates at light speed like some countries have done with covid.

I asked is if they were lifting restrictions in your area.... this is how America works... the numbers go up.. they restrict. Numbers go down, they loosen restrictions and the numbers go up again.

They don't even know if the restrictions work an how much. Neigbouring country no curfew and barbers and shops open and lower numbers.

That is because they don't investigate if it realy works. Shops closed, while that are not the superspreaders, but schools will be opened. Etcetra. So everyone get despearte and they break their will till they give up and go bankcrupt. The breaking their will part is important. They must know that if they protest the government will put them in prison and take all from them that is left.

And a minister went to indoor ice skating with a dutch champion and tweeted that we should all move more now with the corona. He forgot that he closed all sport facilities and gyms....

And it wouldn't be needed. If every 70+ fat men stayed home voluntary. But that is discrimination. The risk group want all to suffer, even if it is caused because of their own lifestyle. Under 65 only 200 people died in Holland. Most in nursing homes.

They get crazy again in Europe. I can get in if i go directly to Amsterdam (if there are flights). But that is it, they could even prevent leaving me. So they cancelled some directlines to Brazil, Mexico, etcetra. So they now fly first to a country where they can land and than fly further to the final destination. That is how ridicilous it is. As long as the flight isn't a direct flight from one of the risk countries.

Finally some people come with a plan to protect the elderly and weaker and open up for the rest. Cause there is a change corona is here to stay.

In the Netherlands we've been locked down since December... all shops, restaurants, gyms, salons closed. Only essential stores are open. Takeaway, pickup (retail sales) and delivery are available. But there is a 9pm to 4:30am curfew in place.

Seems like most people have adjusted to it. This weekend was unseasonable warm and the streets were packed with people just getting outside. Id say 33% wore masks in the crowds. No one stayed 1.5 meters away and the police didnt enforce anything.

Now, they are so gung ho about getting kids back to school... why? because it's safe? And if so, for who the children? Maybe, but what about staff and teachers?

But it's important for schools to open. NOT for the kids but so the parents can get back to their jobs and keep the machine running. Nothing more important than the economy, not even your health or the health of your child.

They say we may never get back to normal. That is a shame. What's worse is that this will all be forgotten and we will continue to over populate and pollute the planet to the point of our extinction.

I left just in time to Mexico. The gyms where closed here also cause we where 2 weeks in code orange. But a friend just go to the gym on the beach that is always open.

And those fuckers that went out are the same people who support the curfew and lockdowns and vote for the political parties that want a lockdown. But when it is nice weather they all gather together. And cause they do that people must stay home after 21:00 when it is quiet on the streets... And cheering when people that protest against the lockdowns get arrested.

It is simple; if you support lockdown stay inside voluntarily. If the polls are true, 80% will stay home. So no problem. I think you will see that 80% stops supporting lockdowns. But they must stop pushing their fear into others. I would never go where these crowds go out for a walk, cause i hate it. Just like i hate walking in a busy shopping street. But those fuckers like it, do it, but want everybody locked up after 21:00. Maybe cause it only spreads in the evening?

One month before the elections in Holland and you will see people vote for the lockdown parties. Or Geert Wilders and FvD must surprise everyone.

Scotlands announcement was made today and yup it's basically May before we can do anything. Pubs, shops, gyms, salons, cinemas. Fuck all until May. And no idea on travel yet.
