Camspower our account closed after 10 years

So we noticed we hadn't been paid by them the past 2 months. contacted them about why not. Only then to discover they closed out account due to suspicious and fraudulent activity already two months ago, without notifying us, keeping account/sites and sales active.

During last christmas we saw a major rise in revenue with some suspiciously high sales amounts, payments were placed on hold and the sales turned out to be fraudulent so understandably we didnt get paid for those sales, no problem with that of course

Now half a year later we received this email. And yes we have low traffic and high conversion, the same with all our sponsors, we target very small specific keywords/frases leading to review site sending them to whitelabels.

What we dont do is cookie stuffing or stealing customers, our 10 years of traffic without problems up till now should have proven that, i don't even know how to stuff coockies i just write reviews.

Anyway they have the right to close accounts if they have problems with chargebacks but then they should have told us that the moment they suspended our account but they kept it open accepting our "fraudulent sales" without telling us.

-----------------------------------
We have decided to suspend and close your xcams-power account since May 11, due to heavy credit card fraud and suspicious activity.

After deep investigations on your accounts, traffic and users, we have found that :
your sites have very low traffic, and no SEO presence
turnover per session on your sites is X77 higher than our main popular site Xcams.
turnover per user is X100 higher than our main popular site Xcams.
more than 50% of sales made in 2020 were simply fraudulent (credit card chargebacks)
90% of the users on your sites were already old clients of our platform brought to us by other affiliates
All these stats are totally abnormal and can only be the result of fraudulent activity, including theft of former customers, certainly using cookie stuffing techniques.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

our stats from them don't reflect this at all
this is the info from our dashboard with a charge back percentage of 1.3%, 4450 sales, 59 chargebacks (doesnt go farther back than 7/2019)

https://i.ibb.co/CnZcVzY/stats.jpg

Would have expected a little bit more credit after 10 years, but Again they have the right to close an account.
But if they suspend an affiliates account they should notify the affiliate and not keep the account alive and continue stealing traffic and sales.

Just wanted to share this, so new affiliates can make up their own mind.

The only thing i can say is we have no need to use fraudulent tactics. And we just got robbed of 10 years worth of returning customers.

bns666 07-01-2021 06:18 AM

those stats look decent, strange they closed account.

CamTraffic 07-01-2021 06:37 AM

That would piss me off... 1.3%?
Thanks for the heads up

LouiseLloyd 07-01-2021 10:02 AM

Guess you'll be more than happy for them to provide concrete proof of their claim...

"can only be the result of fraudulent activity, including theft of former customers, certainly using cookie stuffing techniques."

If they can't provide evidence of fraud and then don't reinstate or pay up what's owed and give notice of account termination (which they're more than fair to end a relationship at anytime without reason) then they should be added to the GFY shit list and called out as scammers.

They lose one more good client

itx 07-01-2021 05:38 PM

How they say more than 50% of sales made in 2020 were simply fraudulent (credit card chargebacks) when in the dashboard is 1.3% :1orglaugh :1orglaugh, and the part of very low traffic, and no "SEO presence" maybe they don't understand what is high quality and targeted traffic with high conversions rate, they lost a good online marketer. Maybe they can check the issue there is inconsistencies. I was thinking promoting this sponsor but with their shady tactits I doubt invest my time and money. Thanks for the heads up.

JesseQuinn 07-01-2021 10:08 PM

I guess they have the right to close your account for whatever reason, but to not notify you for months is kinda fuckery

sorry this occurred, for the rebills

if you want a legit program for Euro-based surfers maybe check out XLoveCash.com. if you want to use my ref link you can click here

either way, I recommend them. there's an aff on this board (Daniel, he's awesome) and as someone with very low traffic (aff stuff is a side note to me, just a link on my sites and my cam biz is mostly regs) I've never had an issue getting paid

their support is very responsive. also good conversions for the minimal traffic I do send

I remember you from a few years back, hope all is wicked with you aside from this

Tjeezers 07-02-2021 03:33 AM

Can the mentioned company also keep in mind there was a Pandemic? And it made people sit at home at least 50% more. Plus an increased chargeback % cause the household demon, the woman, to spot the transactions while sitting next to you damping on the sofa.

So many other reasons can be added from our side to justify the numbers, I feel the company has not taken that into account cause it simply does not benefit them. 10 years of members billed up just whipped away? This is a nightmare!

digitalfantasies 07-05-2021 03:36 PM

The strange thing is, over the years they have consistently been asking for more of our "fraudulent" traffic .
Below is one of the mails they have send, where they link to our stats dating back as far as 2015. In those stats you will see the same high conversion ratio, and the charge back percentage is just below 3 percent. So an even higher CB rate, but apparently no issue for them.

I find it very weird, that for 9 years our traffic was perfectly acceptable, but all of a sudden, such numbers can only be fraudulent in their eyes.

and even if they had an actual problem with fraud. after a 10 years relationship in stead of simply closing the account without any notification and blindly concluding that we are scammers. I personally would at least have given the affiliate a heads up or try to fix it.

I would have liked to know on which particular whitelabel those fraudulent sale were (we had 5 whitelabels there) we had 2 different accounts which are both closed.
I would have like to know from which of our review sites we have send those fraudulent sales.

one of their mails

Hi,

I hope you're doing well!

didn't reach us for a long time and I have some suggestions for you.

1/ I just saw at your statistics and your EPC is very good! The best one you never had before, 635.25€...
Look here: Screenshot by Lightshot

Are you able to create other white labels to generate more traffic and more sales then?

2/ I have check your white labels Live, https://****** and https://*********
It's the old version of our editor.

I think it could be interesting to upate them with a favicon, another design, etc.
Example: https://www*******, https://www*******
What do you think about that?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes it sucks to lose 10 years of referrals, but im actually more pissed of that they closed our account without notification, still kept accepting our traffic without paying, and when asked why called us scammers.

btw Thanks for the suggestion of xlovecash, already are promotion them for a long time and actually changed some whitelabels to them.

ianmoone332000 07-05-2021 04:05 PM

Your probably making good money elsewhere. If that was me losing all the years of referrals i would be going back shit crazy. Surely a lawyer could do something?

Doing fine with multiple other programs.

I think lawyering up is a lost cause, or at least too much hassle. Pretty sure if i would read the terms, like all programs they can pretty much close accounts for whatever reason they see fit.

katja_AWNews 07-06-2021 02:57 PM

well, in any case, this thread should stay on page 1 for a while.

Are they saying the 59 chargebacks accounted for 50% of the value of all sales transactions?

With regards to cookies, were you promoting their Xcams site in addition to your white label sites?

I dont know what they are saying, but in number of chargebacks it doesnt add up and also in value it doesnt add up, i can see the chargebacks and they are for a total SALE amount of about 1600 euro, while our percentage alone already was 35000 euro so probably a total sale amount of at least 100K euro. So in value as well as in number of chargebacks the cb amount is between 1-2%

Yes we also have been promoting their main sites, and also brought in webmasters and models

8. Suspension – Termination
8.1 Each Party may terminate this Agreement at any time, with or without grounds, subject to sending prior notification to the other Party.

8.2 Each Party may terminate this Agreement after formal notice remaining unanswered after a period of eight (8) clear days.

8.3 In the case of infringement by the Member of one of the terms of the Agreement, in particular of the essential obligations in article 4.2.2, the Company may suspend the said Agreement, at any time, including without prior notice, along with the Member’s account and any Remuneration owed. The Member may not claim any compensation in this respect.

8.4 The suspension and/or termination of the Agreement, for any reason whatsoever, shall entail the following consequences:

- freeze of Remuneration

- during the notice period, the relations between the Parties must continue loyally, honestly and normally

- at the end of the agreement, the Member shall stop using the Advertising Campaigns and/or Freestyle Advertising Campaigns, and in any event the Content of the Company

- the Remuneration will only be paid to the Member after a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days following the termination of the Agreement.

Not a native english speaker, but it seems the last line says that after 120 days we will still receive any outstanding payments.

They are not going to pay you. They suspended/terminated your account due to alleged credit card fraud, which is without a doubt one of the "essential obligations in article 4.2.2". Article 8.3 says that for material breaches of the affiliate agreement, an affiliate forfeits their commissions and can't appeal the decision.

digitalfantasies 07-08-2021 10:12 AM

Ok, well those payments would be peanuts anyway compared to what is lost in 10 years of referrals.

SekobA 07-08-2021 01:22 PM

10 years of sending traffic and they close the account? they must be in some kind of shit

digitalfantasies 01-29-2022 08:39 AM

A bump to keep these cocksuckers in the spotlight. Still mad about this rip-off

Anyway, an update 6 months after switching to xlovecash using the exact same traffic.

As i expected, Same top 3 ranked, longtail keywords generate the same low traffic high conversion that scampower said was impossible without fraudulent tactics.

Last month:
https://i.postimg.cc/tJmbCd2C/xlovecash.jpg

1:2.5 ratio, which is even a bit better than on scampower. Also no noticeable chargebacks so far.

Scampower also never replied to this thread, surely they would have liked to share their side of the story if I'm such an obvious fraud

Really impressive conversion ratio, I have to admit. What is your experience with Webcamwiz/PussyCash?

I used to think like that; until I had no choice.

Lay your case out to a lawyer over the phone and if they want to handle the case "pro-bono" then you better believe you have a strong case.

I have spoken to 3 lawyers in my life; all over the phone.
1 told me I had no case. He told me the truth I already knew.
2 took my case pro bono and wrote me a check 2 years later.
You can win the case and never have to go to trial or do a deposition.
Just depends.

Pro bono lawyer takes 33% of settlement; but they are working for their own money;not just taking your money and taking a nap on your case.
Pro bono lawyer gets no money if you lose your case.

Pro bono is "lingo" in civil disputes and is exactly what I said.
Pro bono for criminal cases is not what we are even discussing.

I will agree that my language is not correct; but it is the "lingo" that common folk use to get legal help.

The correct term is "contingency lawyer".

But I still call bullshit on you for splitting hairs when somebody needs help.

xCams so far is the worse cam affiliate program, it just sucks that 10 years of referral went into the trash!

ZENRA 01-29-2022 01:37 PM

Chargebacks consistently over 1% is high enough to warrant reconsidering a relationship with the affiliate. Given how chargebacks are reported (at a later date in piecemeal via various billers), it's possible it could be higher and the stats page just doesn't reflect it.

Even better most programs can terminate a relationship with an affiliate whenever they want for whatever reason they want.
But Then they should have contacted us the moment they decided to end it.

But instead they didn't say anything, they kept all our accounts open and all whitelabels active accepting all our traffics and sales. And only when we reminded them that we had outstanding payments, they said your account has been closed months ago.

No, only SE traffic generated from blogs send to whitelabels. I'm happy most was sent to a whitelabel and not directly to them because it seems that many of the customers we had on the Whitelabel re-registered on the Whitelabel provided by xlovecash.

Webcamwiz used to be our biggest earner. Especially when their whitelabels ranked in google.
after they got kicked out of google conversion was still great through our blog traffic.
But then they redesigned the whitelabels . And while the new whitelabels looked a lot better. It simply stopped converting with our traffic.
Switched those to streammate/cambuilder and conversion went up again.

Livejasmin has always been a consistent earner. But directly, for some reason it's impossible for me to make sales using their whitelabels
