My Puba moneies stolen :(
 

So something fun happened to me tonight. My Pubacash account was hacked last year and they stole $2K. :(

So unfortunately back in 2017 I was severely hacked, all around. Servers, emails, affiliate accounts, godaddy. All the emails crashed my partitioned hard drive, it was a disaster on top of losing my partner/business partner so I walked away from the biz for my sanity.

Last couple of years I've been reconciling accounts, building sites to work on on the side, and today an important domain I had lost I was able to recover. *yay* Unfortunately whoever had that domain, probably got a promo email or something and saw that I had a puba account, probably did the forgot password, and boom he's in. He made an email on his Paypal to match the email on my account (I did try to email Puba several times to change my email before this but no reply :( ) and changed the payout info to that paypal by responding to the old 2017 message from Puba and received the $2K that had been waiting for me due to me not being able to login to change my payment details from paxum.

So today I obtained this domain, and I was so happy, because I knew I had money in this account and I could finally get this sorted by doing lost password, and I see this shit. Has anyone gone through this? I had some accounts hacked for paxum payments in 2017 but I was never able to get them resolved. :(

PS Yes I did contact Puba, hopefully they can help, and hopefully Paypal refunds them. This just happened and I'm posting to vent cuz this suuuucks. Thanks for reading!

shit, sorry to hear such a loss of income, a penny or pound, but 2k, ouch...

hoping you get it sorted with paypal, they should be able to get the money back if they find out where it went, hopefully this could make fraud with the police considering your server was hacked and hopefully they could catch the asshats!

The server hacking is older, my host was useless in helping at the time, so unfortunately too late for that. I just hope Puba sees my message asap. I can't really do anything with Paypal myself as the payment came from Puba to this guy, so I think they would have to request it, and I never got a paypal from them before so I don't even know the email they use etc.

Problem is how potencial reverse depend on two factors - do they have money still inside paypal account , as usually even if paypal sides with your they wont refund if account is empty, and also time from when actual transaction happened.

Yep, this happened like early Feb last year.

I found out his other email is [email protected] and he has accounts with Naughty Revenue, GetScoreCash, Tiger Media, and WebMediaProz. Might also have been using the cybernetsystems.net for paypal though, I have never used that domain for paypal.

I think the bigger problem here is trying to reverse a Paypal transaction for an adult affiliate payment.

Paypal has a strict no adult policy, which means anybody contacting them about this issue might get their account shut down permanently.

Also, if payments were not sent out recently, there is pretty much a 0 chance that anybody can reverse anything.

True, although I'm not sure they need to know it's adult, usually these are paid by some generic parent company. The time is what I'm worried about with paypal indeed. :( I'd think with evidence that this guy stole this money they'd help regardless, they're a large enough company now. But hopefully Puba will help me as I did try so many times to fix this account before that happened.
