Effective today, all accounts that have had no payout activity in the past 12 months
will be closed. If you would like to create a new account moving forward, you can apply
and go through the application process, which involves several steps. This is necessary
for the continued success of all affiliates and our adult community.

Would have thought trying to get affiliates to do stuff would be more useful than closing accounts, especially from a program that never sent any updates.

While that may be true, there are also some struggling companies that are desperate for operating cash. Closing affiliate accounts with positive balances would eliminate a liability from their balance sheet.

They're blocking traffic from the closed affiliate accounts, link codes go to a blank white page that says:


"Dear affiliate,
Your account() is disabled.
Please contact support team.
Thanks,
The Management"

This is clearly not the case with Whalecash.

I mean 99% of affiliate fraud happens on PPL offers, but it sounds like you've got it all figured out. Hopefully you found a new home for all those sales :thumbsup

Sounds to me like they are trying to simplify the business. Less fraud, less shitty affiliates, focus on the moneymakers.

Absolutely. And it works both ways. If none of my referred affiliates are making money with them, I'll point them to a better program to promote.

From the affiliate perspective: if you're their affiliate and aren't making money with them, then why not move on. However, if you are one sale away from getting paid and then they cut you, then yeah - I would be upset.

It’s not profitable (or smart) to pander to people pretending to be affiliates.

Make your mind up is it PPL or SALES?

never said it was. you always post in anger LOL look at your post above. i have had sales years later from archived pages of domains i don't even own anymore. i gave up on shemale sites. this year i got 3 sales from a domain i used to own years ago.

This isn't met as an attack on you, so please don't take it personally.

From a program's perspective, 3 sales in a year is pocket change. A program like Whalecash internally drives probably 500+ sales a day. I can understand why they would shut down their public affiliate program and (most likely) only keep a select few close partners that drive a dozen sales or more a day.

Again, my opinion is purely from a business perspective and experience with programs like WC. It's nothing against you.

If you're talking about Revshare and Whalecash-type programs... then I don't think you ever worked with them.

I never promoted WhaleCash, so I have no horse in this race.

I interpret "closure date" as the closure of the affiliate program and not affiliate accounts. It seems like the recently closed affiliate accounts are going to get nothing and the program owners are only paying their larger affiliates, so they don't burn their bridges.

I had an account with whalecash that I never used.

I run revshare elsewhere and have been for 10 years.

But when something smells of fish it usually is fish(y)....

When a large Program does this it's not a big deal.
When a small Program does this, run.

This absolutely doesn't make any sense to me. How is it taking up their time to have affiliates not sending sales? What time are they saving when closing their accounts? Its not like they give those affiliates some 24/7 vip service by calling them all day. lol

Open an affiliate program and you’ll see. Those that send you 10% of your sales will take up 90% of your time with useless questions and demands.

The there is the whole dealing with fraud aspect. Thats a HUGE time suck. PPS and PPL programs are always huge targets to scammers
