Welcome to Pornhub’s 9th Year in Review, where we bring you 2022’s hottest trends, terms, searches and a recap of everything that happened during the year.

Here you will find plenty of colorful infographics filled with data compiled by Pornhub’s intrepid statisticians. As always, we provide a little commentary to touch on the main trends and breakdown the details to see how the year that was 2022 affected the porn viewership of people around the world.

Every year, the Insights team and Pornhub’s statisticians sift through data from billions of visits to see what content defined the year. Those that follow this blog know that Pornhub’s top searches are often influenced by pop culture and other worldwide events. Many of these terms define 2022 not just on Pornhub but in mainstream media as well.

The Top 10 most searched porn performers according to Pornhub were: Abella Danger (#1); retired performer and now anti-porn advocate Lana Rhoades (#2); Angela White (#3); Russian content creator Eva Elfie (#4); Riley Reid (#5); Emily Willis (#6); briefly active former performer and industry critic Mia Khalifa (#7); Mia Malkova (#8); Jordi El Niño Polla (#9) and newcomer Violet Myers (#10).

Well you do have step mom ranked high but this is very different than last year when "step" had more interest.

What surprises me more is that the search term "teen" isn't on the list

That doesn't surprise me at all.

It may have been removed.

Do not forget that credit card firms have a list of banned words, and it would not surprise me if teen was not a banned term.

As such, in order to get credit card payment, they may have had to remove teen as well as other words.

In the dropdown list, they have Teen(18+) listed as a category.

Not really, it's been on top since 2017. It's more surprising that people are surprised by it.

Its interesting how the 'lesbian' category gets most views but my lesbian sites are not the most profitable nor do they get the highest CTR.

Kinda interesting, 20 years later, some of those models that walked our halls are up there and some of our top-selling keywords/niches are still burning bright.
