We only use gas for the water heater and the stove. I put I think 40$ in two months ago.

House I bought in Oklahoma was part of a ranch. My only neighbor is an heavy equipment rental and repair.
It use to be part of this ranch.
Because of where we are located, the cost of a new line for their business is too much, so they continue to be tapped to my line on my house. He pays my gas bill.
I also have someone pay my water bill so they can have water for their cattle.
Total cost of running a 3200 sqft home is less than $400 a month, including insurance for the home and the vehicles.
Electric wise, Oklahoma is the second cheapest in the nation, which is why we have so many pot farms in this state.
Living in a condo in LA , we spent $350 just on the HOA.

Things may change in the future, but for now, life is really good

I have about 2500 sqft, maybe a touch less. New windows, but I still feel drafts around the place. Propane at about $4 per gallon if I remember correctly. I didn't really listen when I was told the gallon price because there is nothing I can do about it. glad to hear your well, and the daughter as well I hope. I got my daughter a motorcycle, triumph T120, she LOVES it!!!

The price for beef here is way cheaper than in California. I bought a pellet grill and love it.
Take a pork butt and cover it with mustard and horse radish, then some rub on top of that and cook it at 220 for 6 hours, let it sit for an hour and it falls apart.
Doing brisket next time I get home , picking up a load in Florida, then a short trip to North Carolina, then home for a few days.
Wife is traveling with me.

I have wheel guns, my issue is I can't find percussion caps for my "army colt' have powder and everything else...

abshard 03-14-2023 11:35 AM

I think I pay $35/month year round for natural gas. Gas furnace, clothes dryer and water heater. It's equalized for the year.

I don't have any percussion guns yet, a couple of flint locks though, 69 caliber.
Big gun culture in Oklahoma, didn't know you could buy a machine gun or a suppressor.
I have my carry permit being processed, I'll be able to carry in I think 35 states.
Reloading is next, I have several bags of 44 shells and I want to do 12 gauge as well.

Might try these guys, it's where I get supplies

How YOU doing? LOL.

My gas bill was $340 last month.

I have solar plus a brand new AC so we don't pay for power. The loan on my solar is $120/month, and we pay $30/month for gas and a "connection" fee to PG&E, the local power company. So normally for $150/month we all are set and it's nice, no matter how much I run the AC.

However, in the winter we run the heat which uses gas. I work from home and I hate the cold. This past month surprised us.

Why didn't you buy a heat pump instead of an AC if your gas bill is so high?

NatalieK 03-14-2023 01:19 PM

no gas here in Spain...

electric was 140€ with a few heaters on so nice and warm through winter. Other appliances and lighting, tv, laptops, water heater, oven & hobs, coffee maker, griddle, kettle & deep fryer, all the other normal items...

summer is usually 100€ so the extra 40€ is the heaters on through the night from 7 until 7, 2 bar, 8kw on both.

Water was 70€ for last 3 months, about 25€ a month.

Viva Espana :thumbsup

I've been told primers are unavailable, like percussion caps. Getting a permit myself this summer. I no longer live in LA county. Going to site, thanks... edit: not available

I pay 750 usd all inclusive, gas, water, electricity internet.
I saw the gas must be around 20 usd a month.

2MuchMark 03-14-2023 07:11 PM

Here the utilities are pretty cheap. We pay $104 per month for electricity (Electric car, electric clothes dryer) and about $70 per month in natural gas (Gas heating, gas water heater, fireplace). Pool is a heat exchanger. We have 3 Cellphones with unlimited everything and 3 Gb/s Fiber Internet with no cap for $175 per month. Canadian Dollars.

Yes. Every 10 minutes a bus to the center. Only 2 other appartments here, direct at the sea, private path to the sea. Hilton Vallarta Resort is a few minutes away.

Look Chang 03-14-2023 09:25 PM

No gas
$83 for electricity mainly due to air con working 24h/24.

Cheap energy price in SE Asia.

You will have trouble finding it this cheap at sea. It is relatively simple, if you compare to the penthouses and villas nearby.

Living room + kitchen 35m2, bedroom 25m2, 2 simple bathrooms. And only 2 appartments above us. Also an outdoor BBQ space. And we can use swimming pool of the owner cause he likes us and he is maybe 3 weeks a year here. Rented also a nice 1 bedroom appartment from another neighbour, little smaller but better quality.

This is the best view i ever had for the best price/quality. We see whales, turtles, dolphins, manta rays jumping in front of us. Too bad i wasn't able to get 1400m2 beachfront land. The land i had in mind they will build a new 30+ million dollar resort now. Many is being bought up by big development companies. Americans/Canadians now moving to Manzanilo cause it is getting too expensive here for small pensioners.

Also Merida/Progreso/Chetumal is getting popular and relatively cheap. One of the safest cities. But very hot in Summer.

Yeah a view is great. I see deer and quail in the yard, lots of cool birds. Coyotes etc... beautiful views of trees and rock formations and the river, plus a lake...
