You scare to die?

Dying is painfully?

CurrentlySober 08-01-2023 07:21 AM

Nah - Not painful - Unless you are in an horrific accident of course and get ripped in half or something - But normal dying shouldn't hurt - Its natural - As for afterlife? Of course not! It will be exactly what it was like for you before you were born. You wont know that you are dead...

And even if it does hurt, then it won't be for long...

Why? You thinking of doing it? If so, please reach out for support - Nothing's as bad as it seems... :thumbsup

sandman! 08-01-2023 03:52 PM

Major (Tom) 08-01-2023 06:00 PM

Yes. But only because of my loved ones.

Helix 08-01-2023 06:03 PM

Not worried. Try to think of it as your next big adventure.

Perhaps he isn't the adventurous type of person ? ?

JesseQuinn 08-01-2023 10:03 PM

MK your question is like asking "is food good"?

that depends. lentil soup like a painful protracted illness (one could argue it's the same thing)

or a sweet mango right off the tree, with my heart stopping while I sleep after a night of spectacular sex

when my time comes I wanna go out mango

Look Chang 08-01-2023 10:20 PM

Dying while sleeping is by far the best way to go ! You never know you are dead and you never know you were alive too . . . :sleep

Most deaths are preceded by long drawn-out, increasingly painful illnesses. Those who just 'pop off' in their sleep when their time comes are a fortunate minority.

TurboB 08-02-2023 01:10 AM

No.
I am dead 5 years already.

I was referencing the actual moment of crossing over, ceasing to be alive. Not the events leading up to it - However, I was more so concerned that the OP could have been a disguised cry for help - That he was considering doing something to himself, hence why I said 'Seek Help'...

Yes, this board is called 'Go Fuck Yourself' but if I think someone may be in trouble, I want to at least try to help :thumbsup

There was a weird post many years ago from someone. They asked something like 'When you die, is it like like when you go on vacation, but you dont come back, so your family gives all your stuff away?'

I never saw another post from that account, & because it was taking into account others feelings, its remained in the back of my mind ever since...:2 cents:

I've seen so much of it in my life that the only thing I fear about death is leaving my family. I do believe in an afterlife which also gives me peace as well. End of the day - we all die - and it's a natural process. People who say they aren't are lying especially when they know their time is coming. Just wait until you get older and realize there was more life behind you than what's ahead of you.

dcortez 08-03-2023 06:38 AM

Dying vs being dead?

Dying can be quick and painless. No prob.

Dying can be protracted with intense suffering. No thanks.

Being dead. That's how we started out, non-existent. The science is unanimous - we cease to be when our bodies die. I believe this.

We can benefit from spiritual values that make us more human and tolerable to others, without expectation of post-mortal elevators, going up or down.

So, minimizing suffering through life, by taking care of our minds and bodies, seems worthwhile to me. Worrying about returning to our re-non-existence serves little purpose, other than to make our days of life more precious.

No. More scared to be severely injured and have to keep living — in a hostility or major accident, for example. Dying on the spot is fine. It’s a great feeling when you can get rid of haunting thoughts that “you haven’t yet done this and that.”

adultinnovation 08-03-2023 08:36 AM

the human body is an amazing piece of machinery.
