Thanks to the mods for only a 1 month ban, Tube Ace's BS triggered me as fuck because I got this huge fake-ass vibe from the guy. There was another member on the board where buddy wanted to do some MMA cage match with, everything about that seemed so bizarre and fake.


October 1st Bing released their really advanced AI image creation, and instead of working on my tube site killer, I've been having so much fun with the AI:

I made this basic, 161 frame story using the AI. There are parts I need to fix and add captions and thought-bubbles to keep the story moving, but check it out... the photos almost tell a little story. Best seen on a big screen!

Bruh, I'm 45, only 7-10 years ago nothing I say was really considered ban-worthy or wrong. You had to work at getting banned or put in Facebook jail. After 2015-2016, things changed. During COVID, you could get banned so easily.

So, having lived through the insane times of COVID in Canada and losing both of my career paths in the "real world", I am never risking the government bringing back the "vaccine" pass and locking me out of society again. I'm stoked about my tube killer project, but I have a bunch of stuff to take care of before I can get back to focusing on my project. When I'm coding or writing, I like to be able to lock myself away for a week at a time with no interruptions.

The world needs a balance of people who submit and people who trail-blaze. The balance is totally out-of-whack in 2023. I blame the smartphone and the algorithm.

Blazing-your-own-trail in life is not for everyone, there are ups and downs, and definitely post-COVID bullshit I'm in a down because it is hard to make money in such a completely conformist country with social media being so rabidly full of censorship. What was the last topic you were opinionated on?

Post-COVID, there is almost no reason to even air an opinion counter to the majority on whatever platform you're on, as most places, other than 4Chan, are complete echo chambers of one form or another. There are some topics that platforms encourage debate on, as it gets clicks and ragebaits people into coming back to the platform. Think of all of the liberal vs conservative battlegrounds. X is so good for this.

As it is in 2023, the online spaces have to be navigated strategically. If you are the type of thoughtstream or "living in the moment" type of person, the world and the online spaces are designed to eliminate you in favour of the strategic poster who socially climbs by acting agreeable and kissing everyone else's ass. People who can live impulsively and passionately are quickly filtered out. Go on Reddit on any of the Canadian city subreddits and they are all echo chambers. So many comment sections on Facebook are echo chambers of a different sort. Then go to YouTube and those comments are completely off-the-charts coded-based at times with thousands of likes.

There is a real anthropological understanding you get by navigating all of the various chatrooms and comment sections, and as you probe what each platform is willing to tolerate, you can get a feel for what the overall narratives are allowed to spawn on the different platforms, which is funny, because TikTok comments VS Instagram comments, VS Twitter comments and YouTube comments, they all differ quite a bit in the personalities that gravitate towards each platform. How can you begin to understand the complex and banal topics people chat about without jumping in yourself and probing around for what people think? At the same time, if you probe too much and upset the balance of the sub, you'll get banned.

On Reddit, I remember getting banned off the /r/Vancouver sub in one of the COVID threads because I mentioned Pfizer's 2.3 billion dollar fine in 2009 and I said "I think I'll wait a bit" in regards to taking the vaccine. Comments like that shouldn't be something you get banned for, but on like 90% of the internet during COVID, your entire account could get nuked permanently if you crossed that very minor line.

Imagine believing politics are in any way real. Here in Canada, all of our political parties are playing for the same team. It is all theatre and no matter who you vote for, the country will always go in the same direction.

If you remember YouTube back in 2005-2008ish, you'd remember it was actually full of unfiltered information and people did replies to other people's videos right in the comments and such. Google removed most of the cool functionality and then began censoring people left and right. Of course, during COVID, the censorship was cranked up to 11 and we are now, in 2023, in a world where Big Tech and governments control the flow of information with a digital fist.

People are far, far more sensitive in 2023 than 2013 or especially 2003.
