Personally, I prefer.

You can "be" in a lot of places at the same time

Coverage is wider

It depend on what you need to discuss - for example, i thinking meeting affiliate reps on show is waste of time since whole discussion can be summarized to few questions like:
1. What geos you have?
2. Signup
And that's it. Better to do same thing over skype then in person.

Most of the people I have done business with over the decades, I first met online and then in person.

Meeting someone face to face changes the relationship. You know each other instead of being random person on the other end of the phone line or video call.
