I haven't watched any new shows in a while. I was into the Disney MCU shows but the last few were kind of Dull. Loki Season 2 was ok.

One show I really liked was Season 3 of PICARD. Seasons 1 and 2 were lame, but season 3 was excellent.

I am loving Star Trek - Lower Decks

It's on Paramount Streaming, but seasons 1-3 are available on YouTube/GoogleTV and worth it.

My first impression with the humor was that it's like a smarter version of Rick and Morty, which makes more sense now as Lower Decks was created by Mike McMahan, who is a writer and producer for Rick and Morty.

You don't have to be a Trekie to start watching, but I watched a lot of the original series, TNG and some Deep Space Nine, and the inside/meta humor does make it even funnier.

Loki season 2 was kinda stupid, maybe more than kinda.

Well I'm a Doctor Who fan - but outside of Christmas special not much is coming for a while... actual TV shows would have to be Quantum Leap and Star Trek any series.

My friend - those are current TV shows. Quantum Leap had a reboot that started a little while ago and is on their 2nd season. Star Trek - well they have 2 shows now both having multiple seasons under their belt. I can't say Orville because it hasn't been renewed.

I'm not saying they are going to win any awards but for a quick lunch break it's better than watching the Crown LOL

Monarch is great, had me hooked in the first 10 minutes. But I'm a lifelong fan of old horror movies and giant monsters destroying everything.

Currently, I'm more looking at some true crime miniseries, actually watched several interesting ones.

Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story

The Staircase
https://imdb.com/title/tt11324406/

The Dropout
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt10166622/

Maybe you guys gonna like them.. Definitely worth of checking.

Yeah man, Toni Collette is amazing. Colin Firth too. They were perfect match for the show definitely.

Regarding Dahmer, I agree with you - fucking racist cannibal, I watched it because I was stunned something like that really happened, really crazy fucked up shit. Also, this young actor portrayed him so well, I remember him from American Horror Story - he was pretty good there in several seasons/roles.

Well I saw part 1 on Saturday and didn't see anything that hinted at woke culture and hopefully Disney has learned it's lesson from the movie flops but if they keep the same writers they have also learned from the last female Doctor the backlash that happened with all the woke crap going on. Time will tell.

I know and remember a lot of sick people and twisted minds throughout the history, but Dahmer was a whole different type of weirdo. Whatever he used and under which substances he was while performing his horror actions, I still don't quite comprehend all the shit he did. I watched some documentary too, he was calm as fuck, talking like he's trying to sell you encyclopedia. I guess all psychopaths are like that.

Yeah, regarding AHS, I stopped around 5, maybe started 6, but never finished it. That was it for me. Later on, I was just checking new season trailers and saw that it's not worth watching anymore.

Here's one more interesting show, with Michael Keaton, Peter Sarsgaard, Rosario Dawson, Will Poulter and brilliant and underrated Michael Stuhlbarg. Show has a great pace, it was a bit dramatized, but made according to some true events/story and the book from 2018.

Dopesick (2021)

Ive been enjoying 'The Lazarus Project' - Season 2 dropped and Id never heard of it - So I went back to season 1 and it was actually quite good - A 'Mind Bending' time travel saga of 'What ifs' etc...

Not sure what channel your gonna find it on in the US (HBO perhaps?) but thats my recommendation anyway

I saw this somewhere before, but I didn't give it a chance. If you say it's interesting, I'm gonna take a look. I fancy those mind bending show flows. It's streaming on Apple TV and Prime Video. :thumbsup

If you haven't watched the original Bosch, you should start there. Legacy is kinda a spinoff but basically the same cast.

I really enjoyed both series, picked up one of the books as well. The background behind the author is quite interesting.

Sly 12-02-2023 07:39 PM

This is not new but it popped up on my radar again the other day, and I'm sharing it because it's a show that I really thought great and it did not get very much attention, so many might not know of it.

Southland. It's a more gritty take of a cop show based in LA, giving a look inside the personal lives of the officers.
