I did notice this summer was the first time I wasn't sent a "pre approval" for an affiliate badge for ASE NYC :Oh crap

In the email I got from them they said I shouldn't have been able to access the 4 previous shows and that I was lucky to have been there on their dime. Right... they payed for flight, hotel and food?

I'm sure the companies buying tables & booths including a few dating companies are going to love that attitude from Affiliate Summit.

In the last year or so, all of the people I socialize with, which is a pretty wide group, so few people use online dating anymore to date, they use Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and WhatsApp and such, so many people tell me the dating sites are full of bots and once you're paying for a dating app and the first time you invest time and emotion into a profile you think is a real person and then they try and upsell you to OF... those dudes drop out of dating apps and never return.

The crew of snow shovelers, like 15+ dudes last year, I asked them about the apps they use and shit, and WhatApp is what everyone uses to communicate, and WhatsApp group is how social networks form organically now... Dating apps, from what I hear, are so bunk now. Personally I have a baby momma who I am off and on with, but when we're off, the best place to find women is in person or on sites like Facebook through friends of friends. Dating apps like Tinder are fucking useless, they're total trash and want something insane like $20 / WEEK of membership. What a fucking joke.

Online dating is shit in 2024, it is so fake and gay. 10+ years ago it was new and hip, but now? It's shit.

I had to pay for my ticket at Affiliate Summit Las Vegas, although also being an mainstream affiliate.
And while they mentioned it was free for affiliates.

They offered a discount. But than i found out that with a coupon it was cheaper.
So you could look for a coupon.

My next visit will be Affiliate World Asia in Bangkok.
Stay 2-3 weeks in Bangkok, event, parties and back to the beach for some months.
I am already in Asia :)

This really has nothing to do with the fact that the dating vertical is still significant in the affiliate marketing world, and most of the cpa networks who sponsor conferences got their start reselling dating offers.

I'm sure a lot of people still pay for online dating but in the last couple of years I've heard nothing but complaints about it, scams, OF baiting, guys chatting for weeks with a bitch to find out she was just luring him in as an IG follower... hell, there are tons of women getting romance scammed now too and it is basically only really happening through online dating!

Romance scams are so common now... you only hear about the most extreme cases, but it is actually very common!

One of the husbands of one of my kid's friend's moms at the private school she was in last year, had some sort of online fling with someone not even in the USA and had sent them a ton of money before meeting them. Then they sent them money and a plane ticket to meet in Kelowna and, of course, they never showed... the wife eventually found out about the 10's of thousands of dollars her husband had sent the scammer and kicked him out of the family home. Seniors also get scammed like this because they can get so fucking lonely that the chance someone young and hot wants to be with them makes them lose their minds and send money to people they've never met...

Dating is evergreen. Something Affiliate summit doesn't seem to understand.

The support staff seem to have hormonal issues, low energy, mucho hate for the real world. Oh well
